MyrMen: Final Action!

The building/RTS game.[/align]

MyrMen, is a civilization like game, where everyone is welcome to play.
The inspiration for this game came when I found some of my old school drawings, of small ant civilizations! Underground future like caves, filled with flying machines, diggers, factories and all sort of stuff.

The game is simple, each round, I post an image and an explanation of the current situation for the MyrMen group the players play, along with four or more options that people then vote on (just as in civilizations) and the more percents (the % thingy) of the votes an action gets, the more likely is it to succeed. Also, each round players may vote for or against what buildings and machines (that is active) should produce/do at the cost of recourses. They produce anything with a majority vote, if the recourses are there.

Players who have voted 5 times gets a character, a maximum of 10 characters currently.
Characters has SA and FH (standard actions and finest hour) That they can use to perform thing above the normal, besides that, the players decide 100% what their own MyrMen do.
MyrMen has only 1HP, so guard it.
Player MyrMen are marked by a green number.

All NPC’s are marked by a red number.
All Buildings are marked by an Red letter and a number.
Machines are marked by Blue letters and a number.

It is most important for MyrMen to gather materials and recourses, as these are needed to expand and build and more importantly, survive.

Each update will include: An image, A recourses view, a small description of what’s happened, a vote options, and a view of what each NPC, PC, Building and Machine has/can do)

The game will update whenever I feel like it, and none of my 3 other games needs updating.

A- Get 1 to start up the mother machine, so it can produce tools for you.
B- Get 1 to examine the water.
C- Get 1 to examine the glittering thing on the cave ceiling
D- Get 1 to examine the wall on the Left side cave.

Wall support- Cost 1 Iron or Building stone.
Ladder- Cost 1 Iron per 10 pixel length.

Okay, the mother machine is turned one, a machine can make as many tools in a round as you like, but each player may only vote once. As long as there are recourses for it. People vote for or Against creating a tool. Currently all that can be made are shovels.

If you note, one point of water and green food has been consumed. A standard MyrMan consumes 1 unit of each, each round, this also go for players.

You’ll also note that you have gained 1 point of engineering and 1 point of nature lore, these points, will later be traceable for special blueprints, farming techniques and other stuff...

Oh.. And, if you all get 5/5 votes at the same time, You’ll all get a character at the same time.. as long as it’s not more then 20 players...

Ah... good, clear and drinkable water, this will be good when or initial recourses runs out. And there grows green food in it, also great! Uh, and what is that on the bottom, a iron ore line.... even greater.... I think that learned us a little bit about nature lore

Pfth.. I don’t have time to look at glitter and walls... I a worker, not a looker... Wait?.. That came out wrong!”

Hmm.. I was wanting to wait to say this till next round... but i guess its as good a time as any to explain how the voting works (This is only a draft... I might change it if it proves not to work with to many players)

[spoil]I give you some different possibilities, say A,B and C.
Each possibility has its own % chance to succeed. (this can and often is over hundred in some cases)
But let’s say:
-A 180%
-B 100%
-C 150%

Then you guys vote...
Let’s say:
-A 5 votes.
-B 2 Votes.
-C 3 Votes.

That’s 10 votes in all.

-A has 50% of 180% (90%) Chance of succeeding.
-B has 30% of 100% (30%) Chance of succeeding.
- C Has 20% of 150% (30%) Chance of succeeding.

Then I Add to the numbers, each player character, actively working on a vote adds 5%, using a SA adds 20% and using a FH adds 50% to its chance. (Character can work, use SA and FH on things that cannot be voted on, things the player describes, their chances depends solely on the characters experience, recourses, any help they receive and the task...)


So in tha case with tcrossing the pond, I give him a chance to suceed (He will not drown if it fails, only be to afraid to try!)
Water depth!
Length of the pond.
That he cant swim.
How he will get up of the water.
How many % of the votes he gets.[/spoil]

Hmm. I had it in my head that the water was "not shallow," since that was explicitly stated in the update. But I guess that only applies to the near shore. Looking at the map, it seems the water does get deeper. Okay, I'll change my vote to the near (left) side of the pond.
