Hello Everybody.

With the allowance of LooksAndSmiles I finally decided to finally start my own Minesweeper universe. I had this idea for a long time, but he beat me to it. I thought "two games at the same time might not be a good idea, also he was the one who implemented the idea first" but he encouraged me lately to do it, so here it is!

OPERATION: SPACE ODYSSEY
Yes, you really are going to space! It was hard to construct helmets you can fit those large goblin ears in, but finally it was done. Praise your engineers!

The rules are loosely based on his rules in this part.
Movement/Actions:
[spoil]You got 1 actions per turn. You can use each to do one of the following actions:
- you can choose any field to appear on the map for the first time
- move 1 square (only horizontally or vertically, no diagonal movement)
- mark a mine with a beacon (all 8 fields around you)
- remove a beacon from a field (your field and all 8 fields around you)
- use a device on a field (your field and all 8 fields around you)
- do a special action on a field (your field and all 8 fields around you)
- a mine marked with a beacon can still be exploded if somebody enters the field, it is just a warning, so don't go there. It replaces the flags in Looks game.[/spoil]
Turn order and battle rules:
[spoil]- You act in the order you post, if somebody blocks an action by being faster, you will lose it.
- you are supposed to work together, therefore no PVP is allowed and possible. Seems somebody put a safety sensor on your weapons to avoid that.
- you all start with a simple laser pistol dealing 1 damage.
- you all start with 2 hp.
- everything and everybody on the map that wants to attack in a turn does it's attack. Only after then all damage is applied and destroyed things and dead persons are removed.
- for everybody that dies, a new clone will be created and your memory backup will be transferred to him. This takes two turns, so if you die, you miss one turn. Then the clone will be deployed on the map. If you die in turn 5, you will be redeployed in turn 7, in which you can act normally.

- In the first game there is no XP. Special devices and events might appear though. Will see how the first games works out and how people enjoy it before I think about a more complex system.[/spoil]

Round 3 - Mission 1: Asteroid Slalom
Your commander wanted to sneak into the enemy territory through an asteroid field, but after three scout ships exploded (I2, J7, E10), he finally understood that this might not have been the best idea in his long career. So he send you, the anti mine squad, to remove the danger to the fleet and cleanse the asteroid field of mines so the fleet can pass it. Be careful, the shipwrecks are not safe, the mines that destroyed them could have been replaced in the meantime. The enemy is know to have access to stealth field technology.

Heh, that is straight up bullying me to join. :D I will sign up on Monday if you don't get sufficient people. (I see an 8 player limit, so yeah.)

Hi. Thanks for the question. It is Neither nor. Like in Looks game, he can pick the tile he wants to be deployed to if there is neither another player there, already moving to it and if there is no beacon on it.

I wanted to start on monday, let's hope we find a few more players.

they should be put on mines, so going there would be like willingly exploding yourself while destroying the efforts of another player at the same time. But if you want to have that freedome I will remove the rule. A beacon placed on a wrong spot still can be removed from any adjacent square.

You said it yourself, that a beacon is just a warning. If anyone wants to spawn on one, they probably know what they are doing.

I considered joining, but what of the others, like Aegis and Zigit, who expressed an interest in the Minesweeper game already going on, but arriving too late? You might send them a pm if they haven't joined yet.

Lasers are for fighting only. To check for mines, you have to enter a square, which will trigger a mine if present.
All you got right now are the sensors telling you how many mines are in adjacent tiles.

You might get other equipment later , but for now the starter set is all you have.
