I knew it! So just to show off I predict D1-3 and J0-1 being mines.
So, you're showing off how bad you are at predicting, are you? I already know your prediction is wrong.

And, nikohl, you could always have walked over the exploded mines.

Oh, I didn't notice D3. But you can't be sure about remaining 80% of prediction.

That advice will become out of date very fast. Besides, you have to find a mine first.

Goblins Minesweepers - On Stranger Lands (Turn 4)

Post by LooksAndSmiles » Thu Mar 07, 2013 6:32 pm

Turn 4>>Next Turn

Finds Mines' evil self grins that See Four could be that easily fooled, then she revokes the flag. She also continues onto D6. It is a "1". +1XP
Goska Bluey spawns on A2, which is a "2". +1XP
Flags Mines keeps heading towards the edge, this time to L6, getting another "1". +1XP
Stumbles around would gladly move to B6, forgetting that it is two steps away. He moves to B7 instead, exploring a "2". +1XP
Oh See That Shiny proceeds to C2, uncovering a "4". +1XP
Bada Boom moves to D3, which is a "3". +1XP
Tries-and-Dies hops over to J2, and dies. Well, at least he tried...
No-Legs respawns on C1, exploring a "3". +1XP
Step-and-Boom (yellow) steps over to i4, and BOOM!

Peg-leg Sue circles out voluntarily.
Dies-to-a-Mine misses her action and is forcefully circled out!

Burt will spawn in at B9, chugging something brown as he does so hopefully if he explodes, he won't feel it too much.

No-Legs gulps. Well, D1 or D2 is a mine... but I'm gonna chicken out and move to C0.

EDIT: She turns to Shiny, "Sorry for blocking you, if you want to wait there for a bit, you can flag it and get the gold... as long as no one else decides to kamikaze..." >:?

Um, Croverus, in B3, he neither has a chance to explode, nor a chance to discover anything.

I vote aye.

Also, time to go orbital. Moving up to the L5 point. (25% chance to blast off...)

Well, NOW is the chance to get one, because later you probably won't know how ofeten each one of us had died before anymore. IF you want one, that is.
Also, I really would have liked one in the the OTHER forum, because there Stumbles still had an impressive ZERO. 8)

Stumbles moves to B6 (up).

Okay. I was looking at my version of the map and it was mild/moderate chance of exploding...(I don't know exact stats but....I know that two large numbers close together makes it pretty high)

What? You can't do area analysis? How can you play minesweeper at any acceptable level? Now look, there is "1" in L6, so there is exactly one mine in the four surrounding squares (K5, L5, K7, L7). And there is "1" in K6. It has all those four squares as it's adjacent, so we know the mine is already there. So the remaining one square (J5) around K6 contains exactly 1-1=0 mines. This is the most basic information you can get from analysing sets of cells.

I..I can't? I don't typically play mine sweeper on my computer and kinda crap at it. I typically find minds the hard way or get lucky. ...ya. And I generally base it on higher numbers means more likely to be mines unless there are already a lot in an area.

Good point. Missed that.
I thought you were basing it off of the 3's somehow. So when I couldn't see any way of working it out from there, I assumed you'd either made a mistake or were guessing. In my defence, I did only get 5 hours sleep last night

I learned from that mistake last time and now I have a column to count your deaths from the start! (You can see a previous state in the godschool thread). I just don't know whether it's worth putting on a character sheet, but yeah, I guess it does have a charm in a game so tightly bound with exploding... so... yeah.

I slept 4 hours. I do not have to figure out where the mines are hidden, though. :P
