Bah, this came out like crap, but I should post it anyway. xD At least Jäger isn't meant to be attractive.

For some reason the idea of a dhampir just gradually going grey, then white-haired in line with a "human" lifespan amuses me. They'd still look young of course, but ehhh

Wow look at these decent rolls! http://www.coyotecode.net/roll/lookup.p ... +Pantalion

Makita seems impressively lucid today, hopefully these rolls continue in combat!

I think its more of a Mexican stand-off, fists v pistol :D But I made sure I kept talking, so as not to derail things!

Besides, Quarg can just have Val tell you to stand down and none of this happens

Sorry. I did check back to the description of people on board to see who all was there with us. Maids were mentioned, but no nurse?

Full manifestations of people in hallucinations are rare, and Jäger's are typically auditory rather than visual ("hearing voices") but he's aware enough of his problem (regardless of what he thinks the source is) that he logic checks things constantly to make sure they're real, as I explained before.

So new people that he doesn't immediately see others reacting to the existence of as well will likely all go through a "logic check" of some sort so that he can make sure he's not just talking to thin air.

Is my speech bolded acceptable? I don't want to give the impression that I'm shouting or yelling (I'd probably do all capitals for that), but want something to differentiate my speech from other text. I was considering a colour but given Makita wears all black, it felt odd to use a red or green etc so wanted to keep it black but different.

For my internal thoughts or monologue, I'll use italics.

Pshaw... silly little man brought a gun to a fist fight. I see your 1d8+1 and raise you 1d8+10. >:D

Gotta see what Val does first though.

Yes but I make touch attacks, and fire more bullets than you swing punches >:D

EDIT: Don't forget Point Blank Shot!

Now now...save all that ammo for when you need it...

Personally I haven't had much of an issue with the bold but you may want to think of some other way of giving it a black attribute because it does come across as shouting at times...

Hm. Default font size is 100.
So what if it's bolded + reduced in size. It'd look about like this?

Person adverb verb, "stuff stuff stuff." Words stuff text.
That's bold + setting size to 95 instead of full size. "Which would look like this."

That looks good, thanks Amara.

Dropshadow looks like this, which looks messy.

You were contracted to work on the island, not the ferry. The steward might be nice and let you perform but he has to know what your doing...(and six feet is not much room to fly in even for a goblin)

Re: Recruitment/OCC Thread for the Immortals

Post by Quarg » Tue Mar 24, 2015 4:50 pm

Note I've officially made this the ooc thread as well since the intro work you all did is contained here for reference anyway...

Amara:
Per your question, It is a magically enhanced substance and your magic knowledge gives you insight into what it is, behaves...of course so does your alchemical knowledge...This is so far up Jager's path that has his name on it.
The question is really, "What is at the end of that black pipe..." which jager doesn't know. If it is a contained vessel 10 gallons would likely drown the whole mess of enhanced salt peter...if it is spread out across a wide enough space then it might not....if the heat source is small enough then 10 gallons will quench it. If it is hot enough, all your going to do is add steam to the mess. So either roll for an engineering knowledge check if you have any engineering knowledge...(I think the answer is no there) or *cough* ask someone who might know...(hint, hint)

OOC: Arg shrugs. "If things don't work, I hit them til they do. I'm a 'fist engineer'." ;)

Um... but this is the recruitment area. Please make an ooc thread on the main game forums.
