Hmmm.....
Maybe two minutes lead time is too much? I must admit, I'm thoroughly impressed with how quickly the 3 of you got into a nasty pickle. Walked right into that ambush....

2 min is 20 rounds, and they got into it pretty quickly after arriving...I have been keeping track, and will let you know when you arrive,

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
So a round is 6 seconds long....
I just realized that a combat action must look like a fight scene out of Matrix Reloaded, complete with 'bullet time' for in action discussion. Hopefully you 3 can fight your way out. We may want to tighten up lead to time to one minute (or less) for future scouting. A little desynchroney between combat time and regular time is going to have to be compensated for.

When you die.....I promise to loot your corpses...gently.
By the way, I find it hilarious that thinks is ready to die and/or let her companions die prior to having her identity revealed...that's commitment.

Badge, I'd expect nothing less
Spider - I've just found out that there are optional rules in the DMG that allow you to try and move through an enemy space using "tumble" or "overrun" actions (which sound like a contested acrobatics / athletics check). It's not raw, but I was wondering if you'd allow them or not? It would give us some more options to move around, which would be cool, but changing rules midway through a dungeon is also probably not ideal

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I think it'd probably be doable to allow overrun and tumble... it's still difficult terrain, and wouldn't be able to end there.
If we weren't in initiative order and you wanted to get past a guard standing in a doorway, I'd ask for either Athletics or Acrobatics for you to break past them anyway, so no reason not to allow it in combat.

Cool, that means Nem might be able to help Maji in a moment if we're all a bit lucky...

Since I'm waiting on one, and skipped another, feel free to give conditional move actions if you'd like (eg, If I drop the guy in front of me, I move forward, backward, etc.), since my remembering to give you a chance to do so is spotty on the forum nature of the game.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Is it just me, or has Maji morphed into the trusty team mascot/dog.
What? Lassie fell down a well, oh my, good boy lassie...good boy.
Whatcha growling at boy, oh, oh my, there's some big ole mean monster around that corner. Phew, thanks for warning us boy.
Which makes me think that, if I was an extremely sadist lvl 20 druid with the same abilities, I would walk around finding adventuring parties, make them think I was a lost dog, take them somewhere, kill them, loot them and do it again.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I think lurks made the joke before that maji is the team's pet a while back.
Maji might be evil, but he's protective of his allies/teammates. Thisr the only ones that haven't treated him like he's some monster/badly. That doesn't mean he won't eat them if they die, but he'll at least try to prevent it in the first place. He won't mind if Zephyr snuffs it.

I imagine most level 20 druids can think of something bigger to try to accomplish than just TPKing lower level parties...

Depends how bored they get I suppose
I didn't realise Maji was evil though. Did that happen in-game or has he been evil from the start?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I was actually thinking the other day that Nemeia should probably be evil based on her backstory... Arson doesn't exactly seem like the sort of thing a neutral character would do.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
My view on alignments is essentially that your characters do what they do, and alignment reflects that. Alignment doesn't dictate actions. Don't play to your alignment, play to your character and the alignment will follow. Nemeia bore responsibility for a blaze that may have hurt some people, but how does she feel about it? Probably at least partially conflicted, as relates to Amber if no one else. She can have done bad stuff in her past without being considered evil.
Maji has show a tendency towards cruelty both in backstory and in game that I felt warranted a modification to stated alignment. I don't intend that to mean that I the DM am saying that Burns has to embrace evil and always do the evil option, just that is what I judge Maji to currently be based on past actions.
As with any character, if you develop and begin acting in a way that is lawful, chaotic, good, or evil, it has the potential to shift your stated alignment. As long as it is narratively and character driven, I'm never going to have a problem with someone "acting against alignment". They are your characters, and they can change over time. If it is something that seems it would be more of a stretch (eg, Coljin viciously torturing a villager), I may ask if that's what you want to do for sure, but it's your call (perhaps the villager is a worshiper of Malar?).

Coljin knows that Maji is now evil, due to the flumphs, and when there is downtime (prolly when we get out of the dungeon and at camping) , there will be some preaching, proverbing, and proselytizing going on.
