Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I think I'd rather write it in myself instead of using the dropbox. It is probably why you couldn't edit it earlier either.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
At some point I posted how much money everyone has, now I can't find it.
I should have placed it in here, instead of the game thread. Updating now.

What action is it to activate the magic items? Because Maji wants the orc to eat fire

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Action I think. If it matches a spell effect, same as casting time.

You're only a cannibal if you're eating your own species. Otherwise it's just predation.

Badge, not to keep nitpicking your book-keeping, but how did you go from having 450-ish GP, spend 500 and still have 220? Did you find a secret inheritance somewhere?

It's not my fault that someone as crazy as one of your characters suddenly attacked Maji!BadgeAddict wrote:Here's hoping that orc woman doesn't have a thing for dragonborn meat.

It's pretty obvious Maj just ate her pet pig! She's not crazy. She's PO'd. How would you like it if someone grabbed your fur baby and turned it into a poodle-kabob!

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
So, I'm looking for a ruling on how the invisibility in my fancy new Mage Hand works...
Can I use it to feel things? I assume there must be some kind of feedback, or else I wouldn't be able to use it to pick locks or pick up items without dropping / crushing them, but are there limits? (e.g. can I use it to feel hot / cold, or just get mechanical feedback?)
What about the invisibility part? If I pickpocket someone with the mage hand, does the item become invisible too (once I successfully palm it?). It otherwise seems like a terrible use of MH if I'm being sneaky on the other side of a room and then draw a ton of attention to myself by floating a coin purse through the air
I don't think there are any rules clarifications on this stuff so it's probably up to you. I did find this, which compares the arcane trickster MH to other forms of invisibility in 5e, but that's about it it seems...

No problem Having things be invisible after a successful sleight of hand seems more useful (and therefore more fun), but see what you think.

Definitely. That's the way I'm thinking currently (limited by size, likely), but want to read descriptions, etc before I say definitively.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
For sure - if I was going to allow it as a DM, it'd be restricted to nothing larger than could be palmed in a normal hand (e.g. coin, small key, small jewelry and similar. No books or swords or whatever). But, it's a fairly niche use for a fairly niche spell, so I'm not super invested either wayspiderwrangler wrote:Definitely. Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Pat pointed out that 100 gp/ID may be a bit steep, and given the following statement in the PHB, I'm inclined to agree:
"Hiring someone to cast a relatively common spell of 1st or 2nd level, such as cure wounds or identify, is easy enough in a city or town, and might cost 10 to 50 gold pieces"
I'll say that the 'standard donation' is 25 gp, and you guys can have adjusted how much you wanted to drop in the church coffers for their services accordingly.
