((He'd be 50 ft away, if that is within the range of Whispers. Do you need to have a good line of sight on him for that, or is it strictly hearing based? If you need vision, he's behind a massive brown bear, so give me a Perception check first. If it doesn't need it, do your thing!))

Rudy cleaves the bearded bandit's head off.

((Well, they are all fleshy meat underneath, and these underling types are only wearing leather armor. A 12 was exactly what you needed.))

((60 feet, and the spell description does seem to state that he only needs to hear it- So here we go!))

Ulmwin approaches, and then hits the leader with a little bout of insanity:

Ulmwin: You fix the leader in your mind and begin humming some bad, hurtful notes. On the other side of Maji, he shakes his head in pain and confusion, seems to shrug it off.
The guy who shot at Tess seems a bit unsure, but steps forward and fires on the dark brown bear that his boss is slashing. As the bolt sinks into the bear's fur, its form shifts, and a dragonborn with an bolt in his haunch is left in its place. The 'taxman' scurries northward into the grass.
Randerwaith: You come in, short swords stabbing at the large, burly, minimally armored brute... and thrust past him... twice.

Coljin, with no targets in easy sight, decided to move further into the fray. He will dash west, stopping directly in front of Krodop. Giving himself line of sight on the leader for when he can act again.

Zephyr goes round the horsey man to the right (north). Until she comes to one of the mace wielding men. She swings at him.
Sword attack: 1D20+5 = [12]+5 = 17
Sword damage: 1D8+3 = [6]+3 = 9

Coljin: You position yourself in front of Krodop, as you see the glow around the enemy leader fade away.

Alistral bounds forward in dire wolf form, latching hold of the leader's thigh as she gives him a good shake, but he keeps his feet when she lets go, blood seeping down his leg.
Zephyr: You move around Dryderion to attack the maceman in front of him.

Question: can I shift to dire wolf (or whatever wolf form she is in?). Either way, Maji moves down one and back to black bear to maul the leader. I don't know if I have flank (I think I might?)

Bite, claw: 1D20+5 = [8]+5 = 13
1D8+4 = [5]+4 = 9
1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9
2D6+4 = [6, 3]+4 = 13

((You've not learned dire wolf. You could certainly have moved to a flanking position with the movement you have, though it will incur an attack of opportunity from the mace wielder. By back to black bear, you mean brown bear? That's what you were previously, and the black bear only has +3 to hit rather than +5.))

Maji: Back in dragonborn form, you move around the leader to get him sandwiched between you and Alistral, but don't see the mace coming from behind in time to get entirely out of its way, but manage to avoid taking too hard of a blow. Back in bear form, you rake at him, but he brings a scimitar up, thrusting the back of the blade into your teeth and fending you off. You rake at him with your claws, but he manages to avoid them as well!
Krodop moves up past Coljin, swinging his warhammer down on one of the brutes.
Overmatched, and facing down to enormous beasts, the leader ducks away from both Maji and Alistral, and rushes north, disappearing into the tall grass.

Dryderion twirls his pike, catching it in both hands as he rears up and comes down with both pike and hooves on the mace wielding "tax man" in front of him, making an utter mess of the guy as he's piked and kicked into a twitching mound.

Can Holger see where the leader is? If he can, he won't let him sneak away and cast sleep in that area. Otherwise aim it about 25 ft north and 10 ft west of the leaders previous position.

Holger perception: 1D20+1 = [18]+1 = 19
Holger sleep: 5D8 = [6, 8, 3, 2, 6] = 25
Holger tide of chaos: 1D100 = [96] = 96

With Zpehyr on the other flank Rudolph surprises the man with his blow from his right side. =22 and deals a solid hit =9 to the guy.

Holger: You've a pretty good estimate, from where the last rustling of grass was, so you release a sleep spell just northwest of the battle, and hear two thumps. Your celebration is short lived, as a purple mist begins seeping from your pores, spreading around you and clinging to the skin of you and everyone near you, giving you all an odd purple hue. The dire wolf and centaur seem highly unnerved by this behavior, as does the mace carrying thug, who is swatting at it trying to get it off when...

Rudolph: You bring your blade down on the purple, flapping thug, dropping him to the ground.

Kreentath calls out to Rothar, and tries to rear up to fire on the half orc, but isn't able to manage, dropping back to all fours and almost stumbling.

The half-orc, fighting with enraged determination, swings at Rothar again, chopping deep into the centaur's flesh.
► Show Spoiler

Rothar returns the favor with two thrusts of his short swords, both punching into the half-orc's torso, who drops his axe and grabs Rothar's forearms, pulling him closer to try to bite him... before collapsing and sliding limp and dead off the end of his blades.

Rothar trots to the edge of the grass. In Elvish: "Why are you all purple?"

On his turn, Ulmwin will move three left one up on the map, and fire a crossbow bolt at any thug in range:

crossbow attack: 1D20+4 = [10]+4 = 14
1D8+2 = [1]+2 = 3

Nemeia moves 10 feet left and sneaks to the esge of the grass again ready to shoot:

Stealth: 1D20+4 = [1]+4 = 5.

Sneaking is hard in this grass...

Seeing no enemy targets available, she stays hodden as best she can and watches and listens for the attackers (she's afraid that the man from last turn might have come into the bushes after her, assuming she doesn't know where he went)).

Perception: 1D20+4 = [2]+4 = 6

Well that's an excellent set of rolls...

Ulmwin: Your crossbow is ready, but no targets present themselves.
