"We ought to deal with the other statue, first- We can't even get close to the levers otherwise. So... Do we have any bright ideas to try and deal with it, or are we just ought to try and smash it?"

"Tess, Didn't you say you thought you had figured something out?"
If anyone is going to try Arcana or something again, Coljin will cast guidance on them, and will also roll to assist them with his own knowledge.

Turning toward the group. "We should find a way to deactivate it permanently. We're still stuck in this room, and if there is some big bad that lives here, those statues will flay us alive. Maji managed to destroy the other gem, and as much as some of you may have greed in your eyes, destruction sounds like a good solution for the other one as well. Though I wish I had a hammer or club to do the work, as I don't want to damage my sword."

Re: The Sundered Way
Maji will go to smash the other gem before Zephyr destroys Coljin's weapon.

((We've already established that Randy's Planar Warrior effect only applies to somewhat sentient critters, otherwise I'd suggest he take a crack at it with the mace. ))

"Shoo Maji! Don't start beating the statue I'm standing on! We are in no hurry yet to destroy it. I think you might even be able to study the central gem if you keep a few feet distance. Meanwhile it is seemingly self destructing trying to reach me. Amazing as it might sound, you can find solutions without resolving to destruction of things."
Holger will send a warning fire bolt near the edge of the statue range when Maji decides to come at it, hopefully stopping him before he goes into laser territory.

As Maji sprints for the statue, it fires into its own head and the sorcerer shoots a firebolt near the bear.

"Hey! No, stop! Stop! Maji, wait! We can turn them off! Look! The skeletons were able to do it easily and we can't, but look at this- the bones are carved into spirals. This might how they were able to do it.
If we can get the gems out, we might still be able to turn a profit from this little venture."

Re: The Sundered Way
Ulmwin you question the others on what they'd seen so and experienced so far... skeletons seemed able to easily shift the levers and gem in the altar, while it proved nigh impossible for most of the others, Maji and Randy managed to pull levers, but it took way more effort than the skeletons put into pulling them. None of the zombies pulled levers, but it could be that they were too mindless and of singular focus on hurting all of you. You take some of the finger bones from Tess, and notice that the swirls around each finger is somewhat varied, but all are tapered at one end, and slightly bulbous at the other...
((Not to scale. ))
Snakes! There are snakes marked onto each of the bones.
Pulling the levers didn't harm Randy or Maji directly, but it was difficult for them to do... you're quiet certain that if one were to attempt to pull a lever with only the marked bones coming in contact with the lever, that it should behave differently than when pulled by a living person or pushed with a torch... as if the skeletal touch itself is the key to working the levers.

"Right... So I'm thinking there's some kind of magic on those levers- Ones that interact with the kind of markings there's on these here bones."
"So, since I doubt any of us are gonna be wanting to experiment on our own hands... If only these markings are touching the levers, it ought to be a whole lot easier to pull. Try and use them like... A glove?"
