((Holger, you're in the dark, though the vine blight at the other doorway is being backlit by Rudy's driftglobe. Rudy, did I ever give you official description of that once you cracked it? If not, here's your info.))

Holger will light a new torch and move next to Tess (not far enough for the attack of opportunity though)

Loosing that torch pretty much cost me my turn, unless Rudolph can retroactively activate the orb and have Holger able to see again

((The orb is lit, but is in the hallway. Rudy's action was to try to get free. The twig blights and tree should have gone between Rudy and Randy, so I'm going to do them first.))

The twig blights, deprived thus far of the taste of tiefling flesh, scurry after Zephyr, the first one whiffing, but the second one grabbing deep of her calf for 8 damage. The tree blight lumbers forward, hissing in anger as it swings down at her as well, but she sidesteps the swing, a heavy wooden fist smashing to the stone beside her, blood from the vine wrapped bundles scattering across her body. You're pretty sure that if it connected, you would be on the ground and not getting up any time soon.
Holger: You hear a lot of commotion in the dark, and pull out and light a torch before something you can't see smacks you around. ((I'll let you reconfirm movement before I move you... re: twig blights))

@Holger: ((I'll also give you a bit more description piggy backing off your previous Perception check... the tree, other than the vines that suspend the now mangled corpses of a few victims, is devoid of vegetation, it's structure made up of twisting and twining branches not dissimilar to the twig blights, though much, much larger, and forming a large, hulking form.))

Coljin just....grumbles a bit to himself with worry and once again holds his action.

If he sees an opening where he can move further up then 5 feet into vines he takes it.

If that opening appears, he will use acrobatics, or athletics or whatever he needs to try to get further/jumping over the vines if he can.

Randy, remember you still have guidance to use.

Dissonant whispers: 3D6 = [1, 3, 2] = 6

Sadly, though, it seems like this is just another confirmation to make him the party jester.

(Hopefully it fails the save check, at least... :roll:)

Ulmwin: As you whisper the melody, the vinemen's face reforms on the backside to face you... but as your spell takes hold, it shrieks in keening pain before it releases Randy, whirls and shlumphs away.

Maji: You burst free of the vines, but stay put after handing Rudy a good berry.

The vines swarm to life again, seeking to wrap up Randy and Maji (and Rudy, but he's already down).

((STR saves from Randy and Maji...))

The vine blight down with the other party strikes out at Holger... ((don't recall where you are on spells, etc.))

I'm at zero so I should have stayed out of reach, but hopefully Holgers charm still works on tieflings and Zephyr will intercept the vines with a shield.

Holger will drop the torch and swing his daggers at the vine blight

Holger daggers: 1D20+5 = [3]+5 = 8
1D20+5 = [6]+5 = 11

Dagger damage: 1D4 = [4] = 4
1D4 = [3] = 3


Whoops accidently rolled twice with the damage, doubt the first one will hit.
