Once Ulmwin's turn comes back around, he'll stab at the vine blight yet again to hopefully get it out of the picture...

Rapier attack: 1D20+4 = [19]+4 = 23
1D8+2 = [4]+2 = 6

Holger: You whiff furiously at the vine blight.

Ulmwin: You drive forward, burying your rapier in the vine blight as it collapses to the floor, dead.

Coljin: You heave the lantern up after some twirling and screaming... it clips the entryway, spins overtop of the vine blight, and lands behind it. It lands with a crash and while the light flickers and flares a bit, it doesn't engulf anyone in flames. It does provide a bit more illumination in the room, however. A bit torn on what to do about Randy, you figure the best thing you can do for him now is move out into the room to decrease congestion, and hopefully give Rudy or Maji a chance to help him. Pulling free your mace, you stride into the room, lifting your knees high to get over the vines on the floor. You spot the blight up in the corner, and move away a bit, but keep a close watch on it as it gathers its vines threateningly.

Seeing the vines slump to the floor in a heap, Nemeia sneaks forward to the entranceway (where the dead twig blight is) and fires an arrow at the Tree Blight ((I doubt I have advantage with the terrible sneak roll from earlier, but I've rolled both anyway)):

Sneak attack: 2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [11, 16]+4 = 20 ((15 if I don't have ADV))
Damage: Sneak attack damage: 2D6+2 = [1, 5]+2 = 8

Then, she'll move back as far as she can with her remaining move and use Cunning Action to hide:
Stealth: 1D20+4 = [14]+4 = 18

((The vines on the floor still persist for a minute after they were called forth, so still difficult terrain. With your normal move, you can get 25 ft, and have a shot at a covered twig blight. With your Cunning Action as a dash, you could move into the doorway and have a shot at a covered tree blight, and still be able to move back to the middle of the N-S hallway where the last of the vine is.))

Tess: Willing yourself back into the fray, you charge through the vines to the doorway, pulling up short as you see the tree blight for the first time. Swinging your arms up, you draw back an arrow and loose it at the looming monstrosity, arcing just past Zephyr's head to stick into the trunk. You timed it well, but the arrow doesn't seem to have sunk in as deep as you figured it would...

You duck back around the corner.

Hmmm...Okay Maji will move until he is on Randy. Seeing that there are two vine blights he pauses and sighs as he steps in front of Randy, preparing to use thunderwave once allies are out of the way. He tries to shoo Coljin and Rudy away.

Maji: You step past Rudy to straddle the still unconscious, possibly dying Randy, and hold your staff at the ready and begin preparing to harnessing your magics. Carefully making sure Coljin isn't in the range, you unleash a relatively paltry clap of thunder that gently ruffles the vines. ((You do score 6 kills off the Groots in the planter...))
A soft roll of thunder echoes through the room, and the lantern gets knocked backwards, the light dimming slightly as it gets abused.

The upper vine blight around the corner lashes out at you, but whiffs.

The lower vine blight in front of you lunges out, its vines wrapping tight around your body as it squeezes you for 10 damage.

with the vine blight dead on the floor, Zephyr looks within herself and finds a surge of energy. She turns toward the big bad ugly tree itself and attacks it furiously, like a lumberjack attacking a stout tree with his trusty axe.
Sword Attack: 1D20+5 = [14]+5 = 19
Sword Damage: 1D8+3 = [1]+3 = 4
Action Surge:
Sword Attack: 1D20+5 = [12]+5 = 17
Sword Damage: 1D8+3 = [7]+3 = 10

Zephyr: You chop twice into the tree blight, dealing a decent amount of damage, but it still seems pretty hardy.

Okay so...from what I gather I can use thunderwave and not hit Coljin where he is at and hit both of the blights. I will do that!

Ooh. I see.

_: 2D8 = [2, 1] = 3
thunderwave dc 13 for 1/2 and not pushed 10'

...I rolled magikarp. Dang it dice. I hate you. Hopefully the blights have it even worse.

((I edited the post above, they both made their saves so weren't moved and each took 1 damage. That is enough to murder Groots though, so there's that. The lantern also gets kicked.))

Rudolph Angrily forces his way past the restrained Maji and over the fallen body of Randy to take this opportunity to strike at one of the vines from a lower angle in the room (not next to the other one).

Releasing his built up anger he slashes across =19 the vine and a surge of black energy envelops his sword for the first time. What ever it is it he feels like the foe has not been smote enough Dam =16.

Rudolph: As you swing a vicious blow down on the vine blight, your blade pulses darkly, the energy transferring to the blight's body as it blackens and crumbles to ash, the restricting vines wrapped around Maji falling away in a fine dust.

The twig blights turn their attention to Zephyr, the pesky one who keeps getting her shield in the way... The first one gets under it and rakes its claws across flesh for 2 damage.
The tree blight swings at her right after that, but she manages, once again, to deflect the blow enough to not take the brunt of the force.

Holger fakes out the two twig blight as he swings his dagger at them and sudden slams the other dagger into one of the twig blights

Holger daggers: 1D20+5 = [3]+5 = 8
1D20+5 = [20]+5 = 25

Dagger damage: 2D4 = [2, 3] = 5

Hope Tess or Ulmwin can take the other twig blight down :P

Holger: After doing a lot of waving your daggers about like a Kroveshian dancing girl, you finally manage to hit something, the twig blight dying under your blade.

"Coljin! You guys ready?!" Ulmwin yells, seeing the gnome have pushed past the others- As for now Ulmwin shifts to next the last remaining blight, stabbing at it to try and get the last annoyance out of the way...

Rapier attack: 1D20+4 = [6]+4 = 10
1D8+2 = [5]+2 = 7

Although knowing these dodgy little buggers, he probably misses.

Before I post, which blight up by our group is now dead? and Where is Rudolph in the mix? I'd like to flank or get behind the last remaining vine.
