Kal ties off the rope, knotting the other end around a branch for now, and comes over to take a look at Korrik's token.

Kal takes a look at the token and frowns in puzzlement. If he didn't know better, he'd say that image looked an awful lot like a black dragon... And an old one at that. Of course it's hard to be sure - no-one's seen a real dragon since they were eradicated centuries ago!

The material it's carved from is certainly some kind of reptilian bone, and the blood seems fairly fresh. It's mostly dried, but there's a squashy drop at the edge that suggests the fingerprint was only made within the last couple of days at most.

((Ooh, maybe the lizards aren't heathens after all. Well, if they're worshiping a black dragon it's still an evil entity, but at least it's a dragon. :p))

((From the draconic races' perspectives, you're the heathens. Not worshiping the almighty dragons, how ridiculous. :fume: ))

Varsk stands guard.

The lizardman leader groans again and tries to sit up.

Glancing at the lizard waking up Varsk will say, loud enough for the lizard to hear,

"Someone make sure he doesn't try an yell. I find a slit throat usually quiets folks down."

"That's true, friend, but it limits their future ability to tell us things too... but, pressure, applied in the right place, will cut off a cry just as quickly."

I place two fingers alongside the lizardman's windpipe, ready to jab, and give him a winning smile.

Varsk shrugs.

"Long as it stays quiet until we need it to talk you can poke at it however you like."

The lizardman grunts as he opens his eyes, and you can see his muscles tense in his arms as he tests his bonds. He looks around briefly without moving, but doesn't speak and makes no effort to get up.

Mehr speaks in draconic as the lizard wakes up, [Listen. We would minimise violence, but will not hesitate to kill. You help us, and less of your people need to die.]

((Yeah, like from an RP point of view, what do you want Gwen to actually do? Just standing around isn't very intimidating))

Varsk will add to fun by moving to where the lizard can see him and giving it his most winning smile while pantomiming nails being pulled out.
