((Since Mehr's just making a straight offer I don't think he really needs to make any attempt at convincing Varsk. If you want to roll on whether he believes it you can, but you can as easily RP that.))
My game:

Syli and Varsk look around a bit trying to find tracks. It helps that they know roughly where to look and have a lot of prints to follow. Varsk makes his way into the trees a little way before the trail on the ground runs cold at the base of a very large, sprawling tree.

((Perception check please))

Standing at the base of the tree, Varsk and Syli both notice that a number of tough vines seem to have been strung between this tree and the next with one at the bottom then two above to form a rough V shape. If you hadn't overheard the lizard's conversation last night, you're not sure you would have noticed them, but now you've spotted the shape of it, you are able to spot quite a few. It looks like there's a fairly extensive network of makeshift rope bridges running through the lower canopy.

"Hey, come take a look at this. I think our walkin' on the trapped ground problems are over.

Varsk will point out the bridges.

Gwen looks over he shoulder, paranoid the lizards heard him. "Shhh. Be quiet or they'll hear us."

She responds to Korrik, but not out loud. <The lizards. The more noise we make, the more likely they will find us. We need to tread carefully, cover our tracks. It's not safe.>

"Eh, they probably expect us on the ground. Think we wouldn't find their treetop pathways." She says, looking up at the canopy. "Although they don't look all that sturdy."

"Lizardfolk are pretty good sized, right? 'Bout my size I've heard. We gotta figure these things can hold them so they can probably hold us. Though never hurts to gradually up the weight to see."

Varsk will go about trying to figure out the easiest way to climb the tree.

"You get up there Korrik?"

"That's what's expected of them, but we spoke to somebody who had seen some which were significantly smaller than that. Those may be what we're dealing with."

1D20+1 = [11]+1 = 12

(Had to be acrobatics, huh? I've got +5 to athletics. But, yeah, this is clearly about balance and dex, not endurance and strength. Oh well. Sorry. Head really foggy today this week...)

To be honest, I'll allow either so we'll make that a 16 :)
Scampering along the rope bridges is one way of crossing, but using your strength to haul yourself over and prevent yourself falling off is another.

Varsk takes the brute strength across the bridge option.

Athletics: 1d20+6= 24
