Sure, though you're still only taking one bonus action per round so it works out regardless, more damage is more damage and more damage is almost always goodLurks_In_Shadows wrote:Unless I'm doing a stack like Spider and I discussed earlier

Given the way Zephyr flubbed her rolls, it probably sounded like someone was trying to hack the wagon apart...with a dull ax.BadgeAddict wrote:I thought this was a covered wagon. No way that the drivers could "see" me....hear maybe...

I mean, I didn't completely flub. But probably yes.
Hey, you know, at this point, Zephyr has become a house-hold name in our group as a reckless, feckless, abuser who takes a disturbing amount of joy in killing while at the same time almost getting killed herself.
Whittling graffiti is just an out for her.

It is a bit of a trade-off, as you'll be doing slightly less damage than hitting with both Main and offhand attacks, however it will be force damage which is not very often resisted.
Creatures on the Ethereal plane are on the Ethereal plane, Force damage itself is not just able to cross out of the material plane.

It was Holger's voice, he said "we are busy".

Ok, thanks for confirming. The "we" was still enough to be concerned about, but yeah, that's not going to make her worry immediately about mind control or whatever. Randy's weirdness has just made her worry about it a little bit again.

Yup. Holger's voice, but a brusqueness that he doesn't use with you. Also called you Nemeia, and shut the door with a wave of the hand.
I don't recall if you asked him about it after.

Not explicitly I don't think. He made up an excuse when she asked him what he was up to during the days, and she didn't push it, though she's not going to forget about it either. He's keeping the warlock stuff pretty well under wraps as far as she's concerned.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Just a heads up. Apparently our IT dept went on a site banning spree. It's possible they could knock me off line at work. It's also possible they may just be selecting to limit my access since I leave at the end of the week. We'll see.

Going off line for now. I don't know how much computer access I'll have for the next week. Spider can run Randy for me in the meantime.

Hmm didn't think about it like that, since we are in an open space and as such there should be a clear flow of magic over the ridge, but I definitely get where you are coming from with that. Besides, its not that broken in that example as I'm sure at least one person would stay awake or we won't get far with that one minute and they will be alertedspiderwrangler wrote:► Show Spoiler

...Is it bad I am tempted to pick up a level of rogue for athletics/stealth expertise and extra (stealth) skill? Maybe up to two levels at max. It'll probably further off but being a ninja bear that can do a surprise bear hug amuses me.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I can dampen your temptation by reminding you that multiclassing into rogue only allows you to pick up on additional skill, so you'd either be able to become proficient in athletics or stealth, but not both. Of course, you could use two ASIs to get your CHA high enough to pick up a level in both rogue AND bard...
There may also be beasts that have better stealth/athletics mix than brown bear, and keep in mind if you're raging, you have advantage on Athletics.

Ah right I forgot that I need one, but still having athetics skill prof, expertese in athletics and per would be a boon as well.
And I do know that I have advantage on athletics (bonus: it counts as a special attack)

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I thought there might be a feat to help you out, but I don't see much. There's the stealthy feat from unearthed arcana, but I'm not sure how beneficial it'd be overall.
On a complete aside, Xanathars has REALLY emphasised the halflings lucky trait! It's now possible for halflings to take a feat that makes their allies able to re-roll 1s if they're visible and within 30 feet.

Oooh race feats? What are the dragonborns? Anything good?

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
There are a couple dragonborn, one that lets you roar instead of dragon breath, and another that gives you AC.
You're at least 2 levels from a feat, so I figured there wasn't a rush.

That sounds kinda...sucky, since Armour won't help since I'm using the barbarian stuff and the fear thing ...I'm not sure if it's worth it. I was hoping that there would be wings like from Unearthed so then at least I could be a drop bear.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Sooooo... can familiars talk (using words) telepathically, or is it limited to sensory communication? I'm not entirely sire since it's technically a spirit rather than an animal, but has animal stats. Iknow it can understand my commands, but I'm just wondering how much two-way discussion to expect

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
I'm going to say that it is simple concepts, not word so much as ideas and intent. Looking at the stats for the 15 possible beasts whose form and stats the spirit can take, I pulled the following numbers to give a sense of the spirit's capabilities.
So, generally, high DEX, decent WIS... low on all the rest, especially not very bright. It will understand and obey you, but it's still a creature with an INT of <3, so not going to be providing much in the way of stimulating conversation.
