Studies and Drowns
"sigh. Not recognizing authority and not recognizing existence are very different things. We're not here to demand her compliance, or anything else for that matter, we only wish to talk regarding the happenings around the city lately, and especially Tyrone. We don't want to make any more enemies than we already have, and besides, how does she expect to discuss her demands if she refuses to speak with us about anything?"
Again, there is a long pause- The merman that had addressed you earlier seeming to just stare at the other one with intent, as eventually he does speak up.
"Ah well, I'm sure that she'd love to talk to you! It's just that... She's... Erm..."
"Her majesty has already let known her demands-" the previous guard suddenly interrupts- "by providing these to the previous advisor, who in turn should have given these demands to the queen. They are clear and considering the situation, reasonable. There will be no discussion on that matter."
Born and Hears
Expecting Tyrone to be inside, Born suggests it might be best for Hears and Touches to hide nearby, as he would carefully enter- As both Hears and Touches go to hide in a nearby Alley, Born reshapes his jabbawack- And inspecting the door for traps but finding none, carefully opens the door, stealthily entering the place.
And comes to the quick conclusion that whoever might be inside... It's probably not Tyrone- Judging by the sheer mess, things strewn all over the ground, "sticky" storage alcoves in the walls completely emptied, some of it's contents having dropped to the floor, others now slowly drifting through the room. It seemed that the entrance hall you were in used to mostly contain his "awards"- As you see what you can only identify as rewards for in-battle achievements, though there's others too- Though sorting through those probably wasn't high on his priority list.
Most importantly it seems that whoever is inside isn't just a crook- As you can see some simple jewelry simply having sunk down to the floor- And can hear what seems to be a male grumbling and further trashing the place in the next room over.
Cut
"Nami, where is our escort that took us to the levithan? He disappeared on us. Almost as if...how long were we talking to the levithan? Enough time to go back to the city, or to communicate with other merfolk?"
"Yeah... Where did that asshole go?"
"My guess would be that Tyrone had this planned, and he was just one of his mooks... And after dropping you off, went to meet with them."
"Yeah, I guess so... We weren't talking to Leviathan that long..."
The discussion continues, eventually Nami getting through the advisors "bucket list" of matters that need to be addressed- And finally gets on to the actual speech.
"I'd advice you to read this through, I've made adjustments as required... Learn it by heart to your best ability, I'd advice. I am going to settle some more final matters." the advisor says, departing not much after, as Nami begrudgingly starts reading through the several papers. It seems that the speech is pretty standard- It starts with reassuring the people that they need not fear, and that there will be no great changes to their lives. It is then followed by an explanation of the events that happened, and the reason for her now being on the throne. Then there's a few "personal" words supposedly from her to the people. Said "personal words" already written down for her, and marked with a little side-note to "learn it by heart"
And then there is, for several more pages, mostly legal mumbo-jumbo- Addressing matters such as is the issue with Ceto, as well as several other noble families and other matters- In most cases the speech merely being a reaffirmation that things would "stay the same".
