That was creepy. Really creepy. I might have nightmares tonight. Great job t-rex.
Thanks to Arch Lich Burns for the avatar, and Mnementh for the mustache.

Anywho, I postponed the other monster(s) to do a quick Dead Space inspired Rorschach-ish t-shirt design:
Enjoy! Can't wait to get it printed (I use CustomInk.com, not trying advertise or anything but it's quite the bargain, have them print any picture (such as this) and I think they're all like $20.

Another Noah&Dragons original, the Shem'len:
Not as good as the mabidi in my eyes, but I feel really proud about the oversaturated details in the background

Re: Have Another Art Thread
That seems to be my most well received picture out of all my outlets, but it irks me because the background on it is SO-O-O bad. I'll have to try harder on the next Hitler+pop culture piece I do

Re: Have Another Art Thread
It seems that in Noah&Dragons setting melee fighters are uncommon.

Re: Have Another Art Thread
How come? I mean, one of the two PC's are a dwarf that rely heavily on melee, and for the monsters and NPC's they encounter, I try and make it reasonably even with somewhere around 40% melee, 40% ranged and 20% other (magic and such). Just an estimate of course.
Speaking of NPC's, have the Dryad, and the Yutebiir. One is a wretched soul, hated by all, and not all of it is misplaced, but with a truly sad story of how they ended at their current position today, marked with betrayal and heartbreak. ...And the other is the white thing on the right, the Yutebiir.
They will do anything to get at the other's throat...whose side would you choose?

Re: Have Another Art Thread
Two of two monsters I have seen so far are most dangerous in melee. Mabidi drains life and shem'len turns people into shem'len in close range.T-RexWithTourettes wrote:How come? Ohhh, I guess you meant COMMON not uncommon, yeah ranged is more of a thing humanoid monsters would possess, I don't really have any original monsters that use magic or ranged attacks.
And just for the sake of cannon, it doesn't actually turn them, the smoke from their wounds just attracts many many more

Re: Have Another Art Thread
It's just Dungeons and Dragons, but my own version, hahaha sorry I should have clarified it started with me making a few house rules along with DnD3.5 and then eventually I said, "MAN FUCK THIS SHIT," and made my own, Noah&Dragons, then Noah&Dragons2.0, then Noah&Dragons2.5. It's similar enough that and DnD player could get it, I just didn't have a rule book or anyone besides my Dad to tell me how to play, and didn't feel like looking it up online, so I made my own version more or less.
And yeah, I like making the short stories, the funnest thing to do while writing up all the rules and charts and whatever was making up the plotline, the quests, the characters, and all the bajillion backstories, 90% of which they'll never hear

I guess you can say common. There is only difference in a point of view. What I wanted to say is that melee adventurers die fast.T-RexWithTourettes wrote:Ohhh, I guess you meant COMMON not uncommon, yeah ranged is more of a thing humanoid monsters would possess, I don't really have any original monsters that use magic or ranged attacks.

And turning vs attracting will be different only with isolated shem'len.

Re: Have Another Art Thread
There's usually always a bunch lurking around, just have to try and not trigger any, their only sense is sight otherwise they just stand around twitching.
Also, eh, we have a magic caster that's gotten into much more trouble, but yeah, our melee fighter is the only melee fighter and he has taken a LOT of punishment. I've been trying to get around to that rogue with the bow for ages, though...I'll get him, one day...

Self portrait done in art class:
I'm also working on a very late birthday card to a girl whom I'm infatuated with, however I've been also trying to finish my book I promised myself I'd finish by the end of this year so I'm working on the drawing rather sparingly. Expect no time soon.

By the by, I work closely with a printshop. What size are you talking about for $20?
