Two thoughts:
1) It is highly likely and reasonable. Even though we are seeing GAP, its not their story. Right now he is telling FMK's story which, for the moment, ends with their meeting back up with GAP. This meeting does not necessitate GAP rejoining the comic in a main way. Plus, going to DAP (Dies Adventuring Party) would give them the opportunity to rejoin GAP and make the whole comic come full circle for a climactic ending.
2) THunt posted on his...um...blog or whatever that is on the main comic page that he has waited years to come back to this. I dont see him abandoning it quickly. Sorry Dies, you will have to die horribly later I guess.

Prophesy is for when Minmax meets up with complains and friends, love fuels hate, "serpent becomes your prey", forgath dies at hands of other dwarf painfully.
Key here is "serpent becomes your prey". Are the "Kins" the serpent(s) or are the "vipers"? If Viper(s) then we'll need more backstory soon.
"We" don't know how this ends but the good news is it looks like at least Kore kills Forgath if not all the rest of seeds of evil, unless of course Kore is the older Forgath with time travel and dies... but I would know who I am, wouldn't I?
