Re: November 22, 2013: The fight everyone's been waiting for
Oh god...the magic tail Kin has. I know that she's not likely to survive long enough to find out, but consider:
We know, from observation and her description of yuan-ti mating habits, that her reproductive organs are in her lower half.
So either she's infertile because sperm cant penetrate her eggs, or they can, and Kin lays unbreakable eggs that starve her children to death, OR she's gonna give birth to a dynasty of invincible Yuan-Ti supersoldiers.
All in all, we'd better hope that Kin's monogamous.

She's probably infertile, I think the psionic reconstructions are more magical prosthetic than true limbs.

Unless, as she's half-human, her reproductive organs are above the splishk line. But lets not think too hard about that.
Honestly, unless she followed them out of the maze before reset, it's a moot point.

With the snake tail, it would seem logical that the sex organs are near the end of the tail, as they are in actual snakes.Steelhaven wrote:Unless, as she's half-human, her reproductive organs are above the splishk line. But lets not think too hard about that.

However, snakes also don't have a human torso where sticking out of them, and she definately has very humanlike hips that lead into the snake tail.

Re: November 22, 2013: The fight everyone's been waiting for
I doubt she'll leave the maze before the reset. She knows that she can level up first (not to mention getting her biological tail back) and she knows they went directly into a fight (and unless they took 8 hours for Forgath to get all his spells back, they're going to be low on magic)
I could easily imagine Minmax seeking out a wizard to be polymorphed into a Yuan-Ti if thats what it took to be with her.
(He probably wouldn't let Kin do the same to become human, since he truly loves her in the romantic selfless way, unless she does it to herself before leaving the maze (presumably she could have the sorceress Kin transform her after the level up)

Re: November 22, 2013: The fight everyone's been waiting for
I am curious, the psi-Min Max was twisted to what he was exactly because he did not forget at each reset. All his actions are the result of remembering dying again and again. Is it really such a good idea to keep doing the maze just to get some much needed experience?

You're mistaken, he sought out the Maze with his longing for oblivion.

Re: November 22, 2013: The fight everyone's been waiting for
Given that he entered with companions, I get the impression that he was either a really good actor, or developed his obsession with oblivion while in the Maze...possibly while running it several times over for XP, seeing creatures resurrected and slaughtered over and over again, always making the same mistakes...I can see him thinking of existence as pointless and painful from that.BuildsLegos wrote:You're mistaken, he sought out the Maze with his longing for oblivion.

But it's simply not the case; he specifies in the gear room that the maze is much easier to calculate because it's so small. And when speaking to Forgath, if it was the Maze of Many that had him down, he would have said so.

More likely the maze gave him a twisted epiphany, rather than being the actual source of his obsession.BuildsLegos wrote:But it's simply not the case; he specifies in the gear room that the maze is much easier to calculate because it's so small. That's a very good point, but the fact remains he had the same values before entering. The Kins, especially ours, definitely won't become like him because they each see value in existence in some way. At worst, Ruby will obliviate all the Minmaxes and Forgaths to ease their recruitment process.

Remember, we have seen Kin, and a few alt-Kins with very small shirts on that show their belly/hips, and where the snake parts start. No recognizable human sex organs were visible.Steelhaven wrote:However, snakes also don't have a human torso where sticking out of them, and she definately has very humanlike hips that lead into the snake tail.

Thanks to Arch Lich Burns for the avatar, and Mnementh for the mustache.

Re: November 22, 2013: The fight everyone's been waiting for
Doesn't he also state that it was the destruction of the count down mechanic that caused his companions to remember everything and that he is sorry for destroying it? To me that suggests there is a cause-effect relation between the two. I might be misremembering though, and I my internet search skill is not good enough to quickly find the right comic...BuildsLegos wrote:But it's simply not the case; he specifies in the gear room that the maze is much easier to calculate because it's so small. Still, I supose wanting to be destroyed before entering makes sense. Why else not simply claim victory and why else be so despaired when he is forced to win.

Are you not aware of the standard-issue archive? Psimax was apologising for killing them 700 times, with his excuse being that it won't matter soon anyway.

She doesn't need human organs to have them located in a humanlike area. I imagine some blending of human and snake physiology is likely.SamWiser wrote: Remember, we have seen Kin, and a few alt-Kins with very small shirts on that show their belly/hips, and where the snake parts start. Well...actual snakes technically have very short tails. If you pick up a gravid snake, the thin tapering part past the cloaca is the tail. Everything above that is abdomen.Wears Many Mustaches wrote:With the snake tail, it would seem logical that the sex organs are near the end of the tail, as they are in actual snakes.Steelhaven wrote:Unless, as she's half-human, her reproductive organs are above the splishk line. Yuan-ti physiology is a nightmare. But the invincible tail is sweet.

True but to your average layman a snake looks like just a head mounted on a tail. Or just Yaun-ti are related to snakes but not functionally identical to any real world species. Because if we go too far into anatomy of hybrid mythological creatures we start asking things like where a centaur's lungs are and that's just a headache.
