Re: The Sundered Way
Assuming Nem can see Maji, she'll just straight up shout for help:
"Help! This way! Holger is down!"

Re: The Sundered Way
"Taken" Maji goes down the hallway, trying to find holger. (I don't think the blight could have moved too far with Holger since he should weigh more than it and it had to grab him).
Depending where the blight is/holger is would change his actions.
EDIT: IF he can get to Holger (which I am pretty sure he can) Maji gives Holger a healing potion and points back to the hallway. healing potion: 2D4+2 = [4, 2]+2 = 8

Maji: Chasing down your abducted friend, you come snout to twig with a little twig blight, just beyond it you see Holger's unconscious form, a vegetal vise like grip wrapped around his ankle as the needle blight drags him away.

Re: The Sundered Way
Okay I have a few options. 1: Thornwhip needle blight (I have disadvantage and it would hurt Holger), 2: I thornwhip/lasso Holger and move him close to me and hope that me trying not to kill him won't make him loose a death save. 3: I hurl a healing potion on him and hope that it works. 4: I move past the Twig blight and try to hold Holger down which will put Maji in a lot of danger and probaby won't help at all. And I have no idea which ones are even viable.

Re: The Sundered Way
1. Yeah, you don't really have much of a shot on it, I'd call that 3/4 cover, and as you say, may be some chance to hit Holger (see point 2).
2. You'd have advantage on Thornwhipping hime, but any damage Holger takes would cause him to fail a death save (or fail two if it's a crit).
3. It'd be a bit tougher than trying to toss a piece of popcorn into the mouth of someone who is actively trying to catch it...
4. You're action would be spent pushing past the twig blight (opposed Athletics or Acrobatics), so you wouldn't have an action to grapple Holger. (actually, you've used 25 ft of your movement, so would not be able to end your turn in its space either way)
5+.?

Re: The Sundered Way
Should have went with healing word today... uggh... Okay if I use a rope can I pull him back without any damage?
How does 3/4 cover affect attacks (espessially ranged melee)?

Re: The Sundered Way
You can always try... but being prone with no vertically protruding bits is going to be tougher to toss a rope over something you can tug him by. Damage I'd probably base on opposed Athletics check to play tug of war with him.
3/4 cover adds +5 to its AC.
I'm heading to bed, so won't be updating tonight, so don't feel like you need to post right now.

Re: The Sundered Way
Okay ...okay can I see how close he is to death with a medical check or would that take my action?
I'm going to try to lasso him in and at the very least prevent the blight from taking off with Holger.
Athletic: 1D20+2 = [3]+2 = 5
Excuse me.

Re: The Sundered Way
((I'm willing to let you have a medical check 'for free', with the caveat that you're trying to assess it from 10ft away in flickering torchlight as he's being dragged away, so it even a good roll won't be as detailed as a medicine check made as an action if you were able to inspect him as a 'patient'.))

Re: The Sundered Way
It doesn't matter anyways as I decided to try to get him by rope and failed so Holger is probably dead.

Re: The Sundered Way
The rope plops onto his chest, and as you pull on it, slithers off onto the floor. The twig blight gives you a look of what is either pity or hunger. They are kind of hard to read.
It was probably hunger though, as it then slashes at you, but you manage to get your shield in the way.
Twigmen: Attack on Maji: 1D20+3 = [7]+3 = 10
((At least you non lethally failed to help him?))

Re: The Sundered Way
Not sure what is going on, but obviously Maji is upset over something, he will follow after Maji, Dashing if needed to keep up to the druid.
"Maji is upset and wants help down this hallway." he calls to keep the others in the loop.
He is not worried about keeping quiet at all at this point.

"Fork it all! I KNEW they'd get into trouble! I should've gone with them!"
Randy will take the Dash action as well and follow after Coljin and Maj.
He yells back over his shoulder "We've got trouble!"

Re: The Sundered Way
Nem will switch to her rapier, CA hide and move up to diagonally below the twig blight, stepping out from the shadows to stab it right in it's stupid face:
But she's too angry to be quiet...
Stealth: 1D20+4 = [1]+4 = 5
...not that it matters.
Rapier attack: 1D20+4 = [19]+4 = 23
Rapier damage: 1D8+2 = [7]+2 = 9
"Maji! Don't let it take him!"
