XKCD

Well first off, XKCD's one of my favorite comics. There are times where I think the creator is me from an alternate universe or something, we seem to think so similarly.

But mostly I just wanted to ask: is anyone else following Time like I am? I tend to check on it probably over a dozen times a day, and I'm not even sure why it's captured my interest so much.

I never noticed that one before. What was it when it first came up?

At the very start is was just the couple lying on a beach. Then they starting building a sand castle.

That's awesome. I'll definitely keep checking it.

It seems that you can follow all of it from here.

I keep forgetting to check that one, thanks for reminding me.

That is a good one. My favorite would have to be Just Alerting You. I had that as my desktop wallpaper for a while.

It's hard to really pick one. Desecration is one of my top faves for sure though. It's one of those things that I almost have to act along with and burst out laughing afterwards.

I love XKCD, but it's not one I check regularly. I usually wait until someone links a particularly good one.

Well, what caught me first is the simplistic yet lovely art, and those a bit melancholic pieces. The scientific stuff is good too. Sometimes I wish I could get the reference they are making at one piece or another (with having a href below the picture, or something), without having to do an extensive search... but yeah, that is just me being lazy. The "What if" food for thoughts are also awesome to read through.

And that one was published right after the "Making Rules".... That combination made it always better.

Sam, thanks for the tip where to catch missed frames of "Time".

The reasons you describe for liking XKCD remind me a lot of Buttercup Festival. The guy that draws is had an original series that was gorgeous that went for a while but then went away, and has now started a second series of comics. It's very simple art (slightly more complex than XKCD), but has a great sense of melancholic humor - the main character is a very small grim reaper, for instance.

Wow. 108 days, 2700 frames by now, and it still looks like there's more to come. :)
I wonder what site statistics say how often time is still accessed directly?

Well Time was quite a ride. Looks to be over now, but only time will tell. :P

Apparently some kind of Zanclean flood scenario?

Zanclean flood?
Wiki'ed it, and yes, you are right.

BTW: I found a nice wiki, XKCD explained.
The page for "Time" is:
http://www.explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.p ... 1190:_Time

Apparently, there are quite some geeks ready to search out all details and plaster the net with the details and explain them.
