Re: Emoticons
Can we get an applause smiley?
Also, Zathyr, you are awesome in your pixel and emoticon skills.

Re: Emoticons
Hmm, not really sure what a sarcastic smiley would look like. At least not one that hasn't been covered already. A lot of smileys can be used sarcastically. As for an awesomeface smiley ... no, I'm not going to do that. No offense to the meme, but that's just not going to happen. If someone else wants to, I'm not going to stop them.M0rtimer wrote:So while your in the process of adding infinite awesome smileys, what about adding a "sarcastic" smiley? Or the "awesomeface" smiley?
A less extreme laugh is easy enough, though.
Applause, on the list.
And always make sure your dragons are happy little dragons.

I dunno -- looks more like he's got a twitch. In , the eyes and mouth are both moving up and down in a laughing manner.Zathyr wrote:

I might try my hand, but I've never done animated gifs before.

C'mon! Mine has wiggling ears dammit!
At least add that feature.
Edit: Whoa. Looking at them side by side is like hypno-toad.

Re: Emoticons
Clearly I need to steal that and add it to mine
Really though, yours is awesome, and besides, I cheated and had the original non-goblins along side mine to compare with. (I couldn't just copy it though because the dimensions are bigger which makes me appreciate Zathyr's skills even more. What I'd like to see more of are artifacts from the comic, the Axe of Prissan, Anymug and Oblivious come to mind and... IDEA! Oh... this is gonna be awesome if I can pull it off... which I probably can't. Short version + substitute any mug and dragon lung for awesomeness.

Thanks, so did I.SeeAMoose wrote:Really though, yours is awesome, and besides, I cheated and had the original non-goblins LOL along side mine to compare with.
I started with the non-goblins LOL, plus Zathyr's twitchy LOL, and I edited from Zathyr's.
Okay, this is just creepy.SeeAMoose wrote:What I'd like to see more of are artifacts from the comic, the Axe of Prissan, Anymug and Oblivious come to mind and... IDEA! Re: Emoticons
Not gonna touch that one..
is actually kind of based on a similar real-life wide-eyed huge smile and nod an old roommate and I used to do as a joke instead of just saying a boring old "yes." For example:
-Did you get more toilet paper?
-
-Freak!
And there's a certain set of emoticons I mostly work from if I'm just doing a quick conversion. The faces are the same size and actually I can literally just copy and paste into my goblin template. The color palettes are mapped equivalently so what I copy from one it pastes into the green shades. Now if I need to use different colors that aren't already in the palette then I need to open a new image and I generally copy in a starting point and work from there. Anyway, my "twitchy" laugh was from that other set. I guess I'm just used to it - the eyes bouncing in looks too strange to me.

Re: Emoticons
I use GIMP. I've been using it for ages now so I'm pretty familiar with, well, at least the parts of it I use.

Where did the <broken halo> emoticon went? I became quite fond of it in that... one day
Edit: Thanks SamWiser, now I see it.

Right under the smilies, there is a button that says "View more smilies". It's in there. You can also find cool ones such as
Thanks to Arch Lich Burns for the avatar, and Mnementh for the mustache.

I thought so.Zathyr wrote:I use GIMP. I've been using it for ages now so I'm pretty familiar with, well, at least the parts of it I use.
Since my main laptop is Linux, I use that too now. It's grown on me but some things are still less than intuitive. Such as last night, to past into a layer I forgot that you had to anchor it.
But it was still cool for making the animated smiley.
Can you post a link to your template?

Is this any good? Or are the fangs too much?
Edit:I didn't see this one in your repertoire. I didn't make it, but for some reason I had it in my photobucket.
