Erm, DID Licks use the eagle-shaped key to enter THIS particular room? You didn't write that conclusively in your update.

Licks tries to scrape some of the remains of the poor creature off the floor with a spare blade (e.g. the spear), not wanting to mess up his axe and standing ready to fight anything that should suddenly prove to be hostile. He is mindful to stay far away from the pylons while doing so.Then (if nothing attacks and nothing bad happens) he leaves the room and goes to where the others are. If he still can, he offers whatever he managed to scrape off the floor to the one plant creature that asked for something dead. If he didn't manage to get anything at all, he'll offer the skull from his inventory, instead.

Dodger pulls out one of the rat fangs he still has with him. "I think this is pretty dead."

OoC: @Gathers: Nope, the Eagle key is for the lower level, it's no secret when you get there :)

Soul hands his shortspear to the creatures. "It's metal part is hard, hope that will do..."

Turn 62

Everybody now congregates in the same room.

Sees asks the little creature about taking some of the gold to trade at the FairyVend node.

"Nooo gobling, don't wanna be touchin' the shinies, mean ol' wizard putted a spell on 'em."

Licks hands over his skull, while Soul donates his short spear. The spear's new owner seems fairly satisfied with his new toy:

"Ok, a little secret for ya: there's a secret hidden away upstairs, behind a big chair. The only way ta open it is in a different room on the same level... dunno how but it's something to do with light."

The creature with the skull is much happier:

"Awesum! Bigbig secret I gots for ya: one o' them doors is a wishin' door. It'll take ya anywhere in the whole place, if ya say the right magic words and imagine tha place ya want to get to before ya open it. The words is "Crimson, Delight, Eleven, Petrichor." Got that? Right, we's is off, wahoo!"

With that, the leader of the trio clicks his tiny fingers and they jump through the small portal he creates, which winks out of existence as the last one passes through.

Looking at the bookshelves, Sees sees that all the books are tightly packed in and secured with heavy, runed oak planks. However, none of them are [Books o' Tricks], and most are so old and mildewy they wouldn't be worth the risk of triggering Derris' wards. On closer inspection though, a single torn-out page lies on top of the shelf; a recipe!

It is handwritten in spidery script, and what is legible reads:
Potion of Epic Heroism: Pink + Blue + Orange Red Green?

Stability still uncertain.
Weird.

"Hey Doger, I just found this recipe. Didn't you find a blue vial like the pink one I got? If you still got it and if we find a green one - or maybe another color, the composer of the recipe doesn't seem too sure - I might be able to create a very strong potion for us!" After talking to Dodger, Sees walks out and check the doors for a room with a chair, asking the others to join him if they want.
If he finds it, he will try using the key words "Crimson, Delight, Eleven, Petrichor" and wishing to get into the secret room behind the chair.

Licks examines the painting on the wall, and tries to put/hold the shredded pieces back into place. Maybe there is something important depicted here? If he can't do it alone (because there are 2 big shreds too far away from each other to reach), he asks Worf for help.
After that, he examines the giant bug (?) head mounted on the wall.
If he still can do something else afterward, Licks will leave this room again.

Vote: If needed, Worf will help Licks.

Welcome back JibJib!

Thank you very much for telling us the 'rest of the adventure', though I would have much preferred to play it out. But still, it's nice to know how it would have gone/what would still have been in store for us.

Questions:
So there was no way at all we could have save the seer that we set out to find a cure for? :(
And if that's the case, what would have been the point of finishing the dungeon (the 'goal' so to speak)?

I remember there was some writing in the cell with the straw and the skeleton (on the wall, I think) on the first level was there anything up with that?

What would the skills learned from the books of tricks done?

Would you like this thread moved into the finished games section?

Answers!:
The teller was scripted to die, but he would have appeared back as a Force-ghost kind of thing at the end talking to Sees :) I was planning to do a 'montage' thing describing the fates of each character (Licks would become chief, Sees, Teller, Soul would be pictured as a kind of Avatar figure and Dodger would have been dressed as an Assassin's Creed-style assassin.
The goal would have been revealed as to defeat a demon on the lowest level, which was one of the beings described in the storybook.
The writing in the cell was the story of another adventuring party which was killed beforehand, their bodies were around the dungeon, (one of them was the skeleton bolted to the wall with all the electricity).

Some of the non-obvious skills explained:
Red Soul: Ember, Bubble, Absorb, Thundershock
Sees the Truth: Heal 2, Turn Undead, Cure Disease, Smite - divine attack
Licks Frost: "Charge!", "Like a Boss!" - gives Licks a bonus with other party members in the room, "Save yourselves!" - other party members gain 2x the DEF Licks sacrifices for a number of turns, "You shall not pass!" - prevent enemies from moving in same room for a turn
Trap Dodger: Disarm Trap, Sneak Attack, Hide and Sneak - enables sneaking past and hiding in plain sight from enemies, Better Poison

Yes please! If you could move it that'd be great :)
