Hi.
Thanks for the votes. About the first one: There is only one iron left except you decide to attempt underwater mining in the lake. Or explore Bob's cave, there is more in there, for example below the goats.

Mining one block of obsidian takes more than 1 turn until you get some expertise in it.

Yep.. that was what i was going for (Also the reason I'd like at least 2 to mine, since it will be slower at this distance I guess... and we need the iron for weapons!

FH: Mint decide to put down cooking and start gaining some carpenter skills. She gather some of the wooden blocks to help try to craft a drying frame. (Let see if I can get into the clothing business lol)
Haven't played this signature game in a long while but I'll try it out again.

Year 2, month 8, week 3:
"All plants and similar things grow x 2."

Events:
- goat 1 can be sheared again.
- the seaweed and the trees grow a little bit.

Bob:
Bob continues to swim up until the lava feels more viscous. It slows him down more and it is harder to look through it, like there was fog around him. Then his hand touched something solid. He brought his eyes closer and spotted obsidian. Was he trapped? He tried to find a air bubble, first slowly, then desperately. Only when he could not hold his breath anymore, Ash bit him in a hand and dragged him right through the obsidian. It felt like wading through hard snow, larger than you, but they made it. Gasping for air, Bob was lying on the obsidian right next to the tunnel, just where his little adventure started before he slipped. Ash was looking at him and sitting in the tunnel.

Chopper:
Chopper chops off the remaining branches from the log before worker 1 and 3 pull it on land. He turns them into 4 blocks of spikes and sends Hgon into the tunnel to place them.

Kach:
Kach manages to somehow hammer the emerald shards into the blade. It would be easier with a chisel, but he still manages it. While working he meditates over the sword, trying to imbue it with sharpness-magic by thinking about cutting all the time. But it does not seem to work. Still, it is a pretty fine and sharp sword. Maybe he should name it. Kach made iron sword (+3 DAM). While the obsidians make it look better and maybe also more expensive,they do not provide any functionality.

Mint:
Mint finds out there is an unused log inside the room right next to the anvil and also a huge amount of lumber. He can build many many drying frames from it. He takes a short pause and cooks 4 fish into 12 most exquisite dishes of cedar planked salmon.

Tar:
After they mined the last iron, Tar puts his razor and hatchet into the storage to have some room for the iron they plan to mine and climbs up with worker 2 into Bob's tunnel after they grabbed some food. They reach the iron vein this week.

Zaul:
Zaul puts the emerald into the storage and heals himself. As the obsidian he mined is rather knife like, he mines some more. After a while he managed to remove a full block of it, getting 3 more shards.

Worker 1:
Worker 1 and 2 work the saw together, cutting up 8 blocks together and gaining 32 lumber.

Worker 2:
After they mined the last iron, Worker 2 climbs into Bob's tunnel with Tar after they grabbed some food. They reach the iron vein this week.

Worker 3:
Worker 1 and 2 work the saw together, cutting up 8 blocks together and gaining 32 lumber.

Hobgoblin Hgon:
Hgon places the spikes where Chopper told him and also finds Bob and asks "Hey, what you are doing out here? Did you spot anything...beside that thing? New friend of yours? You should get in, it will be hard to get in once I am done with this."

Discoveries:
Zaul discovered that you get 4 obsidian shards from 1 block.

Kach will name the sword "Hgon's hand!" and hand it over to the Hobgoblin, "Here, I hope this is to your liking, I've named it Hgon's hand! Alliance sealer and enemy cleaver!"
as he names it he continues to try an inbune it with power, this time by speaking its name in all languages he know, which truth to be said is only different dialects of the same goblin language and the language the hobgoblins talk... but still!!

Knife-shaped shard should be good for skinning lions. :P
Zaul looks through the shards to find one for a spear head. If he finds none, he will pick one of those he just mined and try to splinter excessive parts with a stone or his pick (whichever works better), giving the shard a form of a spear head. He attaches finished spear head to his spear.

Constructlings (Year 3, month 1, week 1)

Year 3, month 1, week 1:
"chance of tremor x 2."

Events:
- goat 2 can be sheared again.
- the earth shakes and you can hear cracking and snorting noises from inside the now empty upper lake.

Bob:
Bob manages to wriggle himself through the tunnel covered with spikes, followed by Ash. He tells the others what he experienced and what Ash can do. Ash seems to be afraid of the water and does not want to come out of the tunnel.

Chopper:
Chopper takes care of the trees again. They are large and healthy and do not look like they still need as much care as when they were saplings.

Kach:
Kach tries again to imbue magic into the sword, but he fails. He hands it over to Hgon, who is very glad about it and thanks Kach a lot. Then he asks Tar what kind of weapon he would prefer.

Mint:
Mint builds a drying frame out of 4 lumber for the frame and 2 lumber for the stand so it does not fall over. It was easier than he expected. The room is already pretty full so he puts it into the room above, even if it is not finished yet.

Tar:
Tar mines 1 iron and 4 construction stone. He and worker 2 will hit the limit of their bearing load soon.

Zaul:
Zaul manages to attach a obsidian shard to the tip of his spear. It is much sharper, but also more fragile. If used properly the chances are low, but if it hits something hard or gets to much transverse loading it will break right away.

Worker 1:
Worker 1 and 2 work the saw together, cutting up the last 4 blocks together and gaining 16 lumber.

Worker 2:
After mines 1 iron. He and Tar will hit the limit of their bearing load soon.

Worker 3:
Worker 1 and 2 work the saw together, cutting up the last 4 blocks together and gaining 16 lumber.

Hobgoblin Hgon:
Hgon accepts the sword gladly and puts his spear into the storage. "Wow, that is a nice sword. Especially thinking with what you had to work here. Thanks!"

Discoveries:
- Mint discovered: drying frame (6 lumber): allows you to dry things like leather, seaweed, hide. Can dry 1 block/week.

SA: Kach makes an axe for Tar, this time wondering about the layers of the iron, seeing their pattern, trying to imagine energy flow along the layers, the secret to magic must be in there some where... he tries all he can to will it to "happen"

*Can someone tend to Hgon's wounds? he is really low, and I'm afraid we will need his strength soon...

Vote that Hgon takes care of his own wounds also.

Chopper begins designing a large wooden bridge to cross the lake, something that would be high enough not to be submerged when the waters flooded. He uses his expert knowledge in carpentry to determine how much lumber it would take to complete such a project and begins assembling the materials to do so.

While Chopper estimates and calculates, he finds out he will need temporary support construction for such a wide span. It will be around 80-120 lumber plus the material for the temporary constructions, which they could regain later.

Tar will offer to carry some of Worker 2's weight as he returns topside, giving Worker 2 more time to work on mining. When he reaches topside, he will empty most of the construction material he has into the collective storage. If possible, during this process, he will start trying to come up with methods of creating thread.
