Re: The keystone Chronicles
I'm still a solid maybe, but it's looking more likely than it did before. Will know for sure by tomorrow night.
At the very least you should have 3 people?

I mean... Is it? Looking at the poll, Thinks added like two more hours, and they don't match with the chunk of time you guys let know you'd be available..?

Re: The keystone Chronicles
Ah no probably not. Afternoons are not great for me, but equally, I don't mind dipping in and out at all. If I can make it, I'm happy to play, but I don't want to hold everyone else back either.

Re: The keystone Chronicles
Eh, I think I'm going to veto it anyways. From my flawless logic as follows:
As you can see, I've decided that as long as we have just three players, it's best to skip a week. At least as long as we haven't already gone a while without a session. Given it seems certain next week we'll have four players, and a great chunk of time, I'm not gonna force a sub-par session.
This decision is by no means influenced by the additional hidden variable "haveIActuallyPreppedYet" and "willIBeGoingOutThatDay" which are false and true.
So, we'll play next week! And we'll start at 3pm CET. Everyone should be available then, and we'd have like ~5 hours to ourselves.
Only have to plan if we play next week, mostly depending on if Dusk can make it I suppose... Should I already go ahead and make a new doodle for the next week after the current three?
Code: Select all
If (playercount >= 4) {
play()
} else if (playercount == 3 && weeksSinceLastPlay >= 2 {
play()
} else {
wait()
}
This decision is by no means influenced by the additional hidden variable "haveIActuallyPreppedYet" and "willIBeGoingOutThatDay" which are false and true.

Likely a good idea on the doodle...

Next week is looking like another sunday session starting around 3pm..? Might be a skip week if Dusk let's know for sure he can't make it.

At that time I know for sure I can, if that helps make it not a skip week?

Yeah, I just posted in the discord but I'm a maybe now for this week. Since we hadn't heard any more on the plans, I assumed it was cancelled again... I'll make it if I can, but don't wait for me to get started.

Re: The keystone Chronicles
...Oh. Yeah, I fucked up. I said "next week" again when I mentioned the Dusk thing, but actually should have written "two weeks from now"- I guess my mindset was "Okay, next week, and then next week (as in the week after that)"

Re: The keystone Chronicles
Today Tim died...
And proved that wisdom as a dump stat has some serious downsides...
Tim is remembered by his fellow warriors for his remarkable ability to run into the middle of the enemy group without a scratch to apparently save a woman....and then watch as she was executed before him
Then being all but eviscerated himself before he ran away into the darkness, away from his allies to allow a cultist leader to decapitate him.
Is it bad when the fighter cast more spells than the wizard?

Re: The keystone Chronicles
Hey, I Identified all that loot didn't I?
And my plan worked great until it didn't anymore. Plus I feel I roleplayed 8 Wisdom pretty effectively

Re: The keystone Chronicles
Yup..! So I should probably start this off with discussing what's going to happen with that death... But the most important thing first:
Next session is this Sunday again, 3pm CET!
Depending on who's there, we can decide where we start, I'll explain a bit more about that after the next session summary. First, what the penalty is going to be for death... I'd like some input on you guys too what you think is best.
So given the "reset" mechanism, it is actually completely possible for Dusks character to come back. Naturally, I won't allow it without some kind of penalty, exp loss might be... A bit harsh? Given I'm going to allow everyone to level to four now keeping one guy behind seems pretty bad. So far my idea was to give a level of exhaustion to signify what happened, together with amnesia of the events that happened, only remembering vague things. Do you guys think that could work? Not harsh enough? Should we enforce a "gotta make a new character now" rule..?
...Oh, what's that? Oh that one thing I said? Right.
Everyone may level up to level 4!
I'll start working on a session summary... Soonish hopefully. But that's the important stuff out of the way for now. I also need to do some "post session" stuff our adventurers did, Uther was looking for spell scrolls... And she does actually find a small shop! There are some scorcher spells, as well as the following scrolls currently available:
level 0 (10 gp):
mending
message
level 1(60gp):
comprehend languages
feather fall
illusory script
thunderwave
level 2(120gp):
Aganazzar's scorcher
locate object
level 3(200gp):
remove curse
fireball
