I'm excited for this upcoming arc though.

Yeah. That's a creepy Klik.

Is that the same Klik as before, though? We haven't seen a Klik take on the appearance of their positive before. Or is there maybe more than one warped klik?

Teeth are a lovely tool for consuming food, which has lead to the food instinctively fearing them. It's good horror, basically.

Sam, are you kidding? Dies' friend was clearly made of metal; we ought to infer from that of "being made of your positive" is a non-absolute norm for this lot. Even the non-obvious compositions, I expect, express their positives in ways we wouldn't easily understand. The computer-board klik probably eats lightning, as an easy example. The oddness here seems to be that it doubles as a hive.

This is the link you want in the OP:

https://goblinscomic.com/comic/page-21-2018

I don't love the speech boxes being for character's out of scene. It makes it harder to work out who is speaking, and when you can I feel like they lose some character for not knowing posture, facial expression, gestures, that sort of thing.

Yes, yes you do. ;)

No, you don't. At least you tried to insert one, even if its not to the specific page, just to the newest page.

For those interested, panel 5 black and white and coloured, but unshaded.

Anyway: weird that Woody's "klik" was spoken, and not a sound effect.
The second Klik that can talk (after Ward, the Sword).

Could be worse. Could be singing.

(My instant thought when I saw the size of Big Woody and the teeth)

EDIT: By the way Builds you've got a typo in the title, though I guess Woody does have a temper.

Oh, look. Another giant monster. You guys remember the Switchbeast? It feels like the last giant monster that made some kind of impression was Mr Fingers.

Wasp Nest Click....... So creepy. Could you imagine how loud the buzzing would be with a nest that size?!?! Love it.

So, that warped Klik feeds on, amongst other things, paper.
Is it a hint to foretell about its meeting with (and its eating of) a certain paper dragon (and more or less related heroes/goblins/paladin/...)?

And I bet Parchment can fold itself into other things, making it transformation magic.

It's not any more magical than when we fold paper with our hands. It's some kind of life or animation magic, most likely.

That wrecks my theory. I thought the warped klik was Ward all along and he was luring them away to somewhere.

You could still speculate that, and Woody is just the border-patrol receiving a snack; but I strongly doubt it.

More like a 'Wrapped" Klik...

You know.

Because he's made of paper...

I really like the claw things this klik as for "hands" and how they don't seem to be attached to its body. Also the grin is pure win.

But I am kind of curious: Why would a klik that usually eats wood (and only such wood that is easy to digest, at that) take a bite out of a METAL weapon in the first place?

I'm wondering how the Klik will do with Fire?

Match anyone?

Holy smooly. That was long ago. Yeah. I don't think it had it's positive warped as well? Cynical Klick I have not bothered to remember the name of did not seem to imply that.

It looked to me at 1st glance like it was covered in beetles then I saw the papery texture typical to wasp nests.. A nest this big can host a TON of wasps :-o :shudder: :waitwtf:
(mental image of Forgath and gang running away from yellowjacket wasps-a-ton - except the click which I think are immune)

How is bark easier to digest when it is there solely to protect the wood underneath? Does this worlds bark work different than real life or something?

Easier to chew.

Most trees have a wood trunk for stability in the middle. Most action happens just under the bark. Here is where water is transported, nutrients flow, etc. The rigid middle pole is increased from the outside via this area.
The bark is a not-as-rigid skin on top of the important bits, wrapped around a tough middle pole.
