I was simply thinking that both use bound souls to power their templates. Fumbles does so for the sake of magical power as a Teller and Kore as a means to bypass alignment (and maybe more....we really don't know yet)

And is a very god observation, I like this observation, and expanded on it, in that they're "the same", and yet once positive and once negative....

Also complains (demon template), and Ears (prissan). Thac0 is so far pretty non-kore:ish.

The problem.with the update to the rules is on me. My job for.most of the past year was required extensive travel and I simply didnt have the patience to update that part of the thread from my phone. We have also been working on a section of the rules to explicitly address Elli's transition so that she can feel comfortable here. I personally recieved a number of messages thanking us for stepping in and reaffirming that this is indeed a fan forum. Criticism is allowed, but not if that is all you do. And deadnaming Elli is not allowed at all.

I have a dumb question. Can anyone explain why Ears cut his ears off? I think I missed the logic/foreshadowing/explanation and it was kind of out of the blue.

He cut off his ears because otherwise the helmet would not fit, if I recall.

Yes. The helmet controlled the golem, Ears was the only one left who could use it, using it was the only way to save the others from Kore, and the helmet wouldn't fit because his ears were in the way.
