Koa gauges the distance between himself and all those gun-toting baddies across the big empty room with no cover. Since Koa wasn't keen on charging into a full salvo of gunfire before he could close the gap, he glances back at Magnus.
"Can you, like, make a shield or something? So they don't plug us full of holes, yeah?"

Assuming he gets something resembling an affirmative, Koa sticks with Magnus, taking cover behind whatever barrier the mystery-god pokemon is able to erect.
(As in, if Magnus moves and Groundshaper's some Rough Terrain, Koa will move into the square immediately W of Magnus. Koa can't be directly targeted in Rough Terrain due to Stealth, and they'll have -2 to hit Magnus and anyone else in/behind the Rough Terrain)

As for what his pokemon should do, Koa eyes the incoming pokemon ahead warily. Considering two of them are fire-type and Lonaki's protective fire plate just got Knocked Off, Koa decides to fully switch out Lonaki for Rawku the Rhydon! Koa releases him 4m South of the small fire camel.

Rawku charges at it! He moves 4m North and lowers his horn at the last moment, gouging the floor as he lifts his head into a Drill Run attack!
Drill Run on Numel w/ Rock Head (AC 3):
1d20 = [5] = 5
3d8+10+30 = [6, 3, 1] = 50
2d6 = [1, 1] = 2

(52 total. I will spend an AP to boost the accuracy to 6!)

Izzy, Haley, Bruce

Topside, everyone is dashing toward the downward staircase- Haley almost there, just before the sonic speed Kay manages to dash past her, barely reaching the staircase. Kay herself might be a bit big for it, to be fair, though she could probably manage with some issues, but definitely not flying.

Irene

Irene meanwhile, is giving it all she got, defiant and persistent until the end - Though her hope seems to be faltering... And with it, the dedication in her voice, as the temple mind, perhaps once seeming receptive to her pleas.

After all, now she was but another cog in the machine. One that did not spin in tandem with the others, but was easily ignored. And already, the temple mind's presence was overwhelming, as she felt as if it was trying to "whip" her into shape, and join the endless nonsensical dance of song and rhythm. For her, it might feel like she was already lost for hours.

...Right up until, in a non pleasant method, she is reminded of her deal with the Spark- As his presence made itself known to her.

She suddenly felt small. Tiny, perhaps even insignificant, compared to the entity in front of her. Well, not really in front of her, nor was what she was "feeling" a physical entity. It was more as if, in that instant, she could comprehend the vast network in front of her- An understanding that would likely be but a facismile of the true thing once she'd recover... IF she'd recover from this.

It felt like looking at the world, fragments of the world. Like a network, pieces of all living things connected by this one common thought that fed the creation of the Spark. Like a virus... At it's heart, though that was only the best way she could put it in mortal terms for there was no real "heart" to the whole, was but a single, unblinking metal eye - It was hard to tell if there was perhaps some kind of physical manifest of the entity, or if this was simply how her mind was choosing to comprehend what she was seeing. It stared at her for what seemed like ages, as she could swear to almost sense... Pity, coming from it.

Right before there is a first stabbing pain in her chest- The entity, or at least this representation, having "plugged" a cable straight into her. But that felt like nary enough.

"Please try to not resist."

(Roll whatever skill you think is appropriate. Irene has taken 1 injury so far.)

Well one thing made sense now, and it's why spark never seem to ask for favors. A being of that level, by helping us maybe we conveintly move a certain rock just so without even meanging to that would cause a cascade of event's that the party would never be aware of...

But that was later, for now Irene had to relax and let this cable enter her. Accidental or intentional, name one time where ignoring a deal made with the occult was a good idea. Bracing herself to let down her mental defenses, Irene did her best to accept this cable into her.

Koa, Alex, Bjorn

The Kartana, nearby enemies eliminated, immediately continues - moving toward the other enemies, and launching a vacuum wave at the Staravia! Said Starvia decides to immediately refocus it's attention on the strange pokemon instead, but not seeming to do a terrible lot of damage.

Matthias likewise is having his Frogadier attack the Staravia, weakening it further.

Grunt and Bjorn, out of range to attack, begin sprinting upward toward the group of grunts.

The grunts meanwhile begin to act once more. The western grunts, seeming uncertain of what to do just yet, only notice the trainers approach, and begin to get ready... The Eastern grunts however are now finding themselves dealing both with the "friendly" grunts, and Matthias' and Gayle's pokemon bearing down on them. One of them firing at the grunt, the other one firing at the Kartana, seemingly freaked out by it... The friendly grunt, pissed off, slashes back at it's former boss that is assaulting him as well. Clearly this group is a well-knit bunch of friends.

The sigil on the floor below seems to be resonating with all the bloodshed happening upon it...
Lots of pokemon on the Western side get ready for the engaging trainer and Pokemon...

The Claydol takes out the Farfetch'd, as Luna is sprinting after Bjorn and the others.

Koa meanwhile, asks Magnus a question in the hopes of aid.

"Can you, like, make a shield or something? So they don't plug us full of holes, yeah?"

"...Hmm." he speaks, seemingly agreeing- Cracking his neck in the process. Seems he's starting to get "warmed up"... Though what he seems to be going for is a bit more than just groundshaper- A pulse of energy seems to come from him, as the ground in front of them shifts, before raising up as if simply creating a new, if short wall. That should work... Magnus right behind him as they move up, covered for now. Koa taking the chance to release Rawku.

'Angstrom' meanwhile, is doing nothing, but complying to whatever Matthias is doing... Which as the next task, seems to be putting a set of shackles around the mans arms as well. With both his arms and legs bound by solid steel, he should be disabled, right..?

The hostages keep trying to crawl away- One of them letting out a startled cry when, unable to see where exactly she was even going, bumps into the charmeleon that snarls at her...

The commander, unlike the grunts, does seem to have a better idea of what to do- Walking toward the hostage with far more purpose, though only just reaching her while not doing anything... The commander with the hostage Willow is trying to approach still too preoccupied - Knocking out the "friendly" grunt.

The croagunk moves up to the kartana as well, slashing at it- But seeming just as effective as all before, meaning not very much at all.

((Oh god either that map wasn't updated after my last movement or even sprinting I'm a lot slower than I thought. To be fair, Alex does only have 5 overland speed, even with his Running Shoes.))

Roy is just barely in range to move 6 toward the commander on the right and use Rock Throw on him:

Izzy gives the Bjorn and Alex a quick wave, then focuses on the armed goons in front of her. They're probably bad, right?

As Kay releases Air Cutter into the two grunts, Izzy starts playing her guitar. The music in the air crackles with arcane energy, a thin layer of protective ice crystals forming over Kay's wings and chest. And at the same time, an almost imperceptible Tailwind surges through the room, spurring her friends forward into the fight.

Izzy, Haley, Bruce

Again, everyone rushes forward, toward the staircase - But only Haley is the one for now to reach the staircase, appearing down at the end of next round.

Irene

Irene did what might be the only smart thing to do in the situation - Try and keep her calm and let down her defenses. Struggling at this point would only prolong the inevitable, and perhaps make things worse.

...Though as two other cables seem to plunge into her, it would be surprising if the thought did not at least occur.

"Very good. Please keep this up. This will take a little bit, still."

Pain, forget thoughts pure pain stay still, right? Like walking on a tight rope keep the core tight, but the flex in muscles, just caused a wracking of pain. Breath rapid, thoughts chaotic the only constant pain, and insanity, why why why? Why do this? Why endure this? Why the pain?

Though despite the thoughts, she's in too deep she had to do her best to stay still, despite the contraction of her muscles.

Koa, Alex, Bjorn, Izzy, Haley

Kay does not waste much time acting now they're down - Kay starting off by slashing into the two grunts, already heavily injuring them! The Kartana meanwhile takes a couple seemingly week attacks in order to reposition... Before slicing through both Staravia and croagunk, knocking out the former and badly injuring the latter!

There is a definite ominous aura emanating from the massive circle...

The frogadier continues the assault, attacking the Claydol - But missing.

Grunt charges up as he can... Slow progress..!

Izzy, through it all, starts up a tune... Everyone beginning to feel hasted.

Bjorn charges up a bit quicker, and attacks one of the grunts with a freeze-dry. It's almost enough to knock that one out!

Luna spends her turn trying to catch up with the rest of the group.

Koa had been planning on waiting for the grunts to try and flank, gathering them together for a Rock Slide, but the increasing glow of the ritual circle has him reconsidering.

Then a familiar wind surrounds him, making his movements that much quicker! Koa uses this chance to rush forward! He circles Magnus' barrier, moving 1 NW, 3 N, 3 NE, standing next to the other hostage and the hostile Charmeleon. Instead of attacking, not wanting to agitate the ritual circle further, he lowers himself into a Moon Mountain Stance, ready to guard the hostage and tank some punishment!

Moon Mountain Stance: Initiative -5, +5 DR and become immune to Push or Pull effects.

He then orders Rawku to reposition (move 1 N, 3 NW, 1 NE), putting Rawku in the thick of it next to that big gorilla and Grunt #4. More importantly, Rawku can try and do something to stop the ritual, hitting both enemies and a wide section of circle with a Bulldoze!
Bulldoze on Slaking, Grunt #4, and 3 meters of Ritual Circle:
1d20 = [2] = 2
2d8+10+30 = [4, 4] = 48

A sloppy attack that probably misses the gorilla and grunt, but maybe that's a good thing? That ritual circle isn't going to be dodging, though!

Koa, Alex, Bjorn, Izzy, Haley

Koa, seeing the hostage in duress, sprints to be next to them, quickly entering a moon mountain stance onc ethere. Useful, perhaps, as he's already starting to get snide looks.

Especially notable as all the grunts are beginning to react to these new intruders. The ones that were just assaulted by Izzy, seeing both their pokemon are down (or about to go down), release new ones: a minum, and a weepinbell. On the west side, one of the grunts replaces the fallen Numel as well, with a bayleef. That still leaves plenty of them to fight, however.

On the west side, two train firearms on the trainer that rushed up so brazenly. One misses, but the other one hits deep enough to cause an injury together with 19(1) damage! On the east side, one spends his turn disengaging the giant dragon.

Of the newly released pokemon, the minun acts immediately: nuzzling into Kay for 14(2) damage, paralyzing her!

The charmeleon seems a bit startled to have found a trainer so close suddenly, but quickly follows it's trainers commands, an ember singing Koa's midriff- Leaving a burn as it deals 29(14) damage!

Magnus is next to act... As he casually walks through the wall he had just created. Now, as he steps, the tiles around him are beginning to shift, displacing, making it harder for the enemies to casually walk around. Strangely enough, for Koa, and his pokemon too, as they step these tiles shift back into place, bringing no hindrance to them. It does also show that while disconnecting parts of the circle, while seeming to lower the ominous feeling, doesn't dissipate it completely. For now, he seems to be heading straight for the group of enemies further northwest - Though stops long enough to throw a rock at the charmeleon, knocking it out!

One of the hostages, feeling the unconscious charmeleon drop against them, let's an audible shriek, before hunkering down- The other one, sensing willow nearby and not realizing it's a friend, crawls further away... Luckily not far enough the ghost can't easily keep up.

The commander meanwhile, instructs his Slaking to go deal with those new intruders - This time however, the slaking decides that he is very distracted with something in it's nose, lazing about as nothing is done. The claydol, on the other hand, focuses on the kartana, dealing a bit of damage.

Alex will Move... NE3, N1 (Diagonal moves cost 1/2/1 etc for movement, right?), then use Aura Sphere on the commander to his north.

If the commander holds out and doesn't move away, Roy will move up to him and throw a Force Palm. Otherwise he'll move NE3, E2, and use the attack on the grunt near him there.

Aura Sphere: 1D20 = [15] = 15

Koa, Alex, Bjorn, Izzy, Haley

Koa moves up, throwing an aura sphere at the one commander, grunting as he is now badly injured, but not yet down. On the other side, Rawku charges up, and unleashes a bulldoze - Sadly missing, though disrupting the circle some more. Again, the effect seems to weaken for just a moment, but the ominous feeling persists.

the charjabug slithers up as fast as it can, before eventually arriving next to Magnus, hitting him with a spark- Or trying at least, as the man seems to glance down for a second, before shrugging it off completely.

The weepinbell meanwhile, releases spores from it maw, catching both trainer and dragon in a burst... As both drift off to sleep!

The newly released Bayleef meanwhile turns to Rawku - And is hit with a magical leaf for 31(48) damage!

Angstrom meanwhile, seems well and truly shackled, whoever has taken note of the man's strange behavior among the grunts, far too busy with more pressing matters to think things through. Which seems to be enough for the ghostly presence inside him to try and deal with him as well. As Matthias grabs the mans belt, for the pokeballs, Grimm leaves- The man's posterior changing as he is left, though Grimm does not leave it with just exiting the body. The strange amulet he was wearing is torn off in the process, and he is shoved down, the brute of a man giving a heavy "thud" as he hits the ground.

"You... You feckin' bastards!" The man grunts, clenching his fists as he struggles against the metal shackles. Luckily, there is no way he-

The chains snap into pieces as the man gives a grunt. And before anyone even realizes, even though his feet bindings still slow him, he's already back on his feet- Snatching the belt back from Matthias, before flinging the aforementioned man back against the pillar behind them.

"...We really should have gone for plan A."

"You traitors! Did you think tricking me would be enough? To deal with the Red Terror? I guess I'll have to show you why this city fears me!"

"You IDIOTS! Stop bickering among yourselves, and deal with these feckin' kids already! Use the hostages as shields if need be!"

Gayle is taking a cautious couple steps back, letting out another chant for a safeguard blessing (that probably came just a second too late), before grunting in apparent pain- Alex can see those "puppet strings" spark to life for a moment, sparks of light travelling down them.

"I know, I know! This can still work..!"

Fin moves up a bit, and hits with a mud bomb against the charjabug! Roy on the other side charges the commander, and handily takes him out.

Willow catches up to the one hostage... And handily removes the gag and bindings that they had- Not that seeing the chaos unfurling around them might be much better, to be fair.

As the Weepinbell releases it's spores, Kay rears up and bats her wings, dispersing as much as she can. She manages to protect Izzy from the worst of its effects, but still succumbs to it herself and falls into a doze.

- Intercept: Full Action, Interrupt

Izzy (who's suddenly wishing she put on her Gas Mask before this fight) quickly recalls the sleeping Kay and sends out Fern in her place, giving her orders to be ready for anything (Celerity). She also decides that now probably isn't the time to be nervous about showing off her abilities - floating up as high as she can (3m), and moving behind the stairs for some cover.

- Celerity: +6 Initiative

((M0rt, I've been forgetting that Grunt's Agility Training gives him +1 movement, not sure if you've been factoring that in or not.))

Grunt keeps snuffling forward, and if in range will hit the closest grunt next to the weepinbell with a Mud Bomb.

Mud Bomb (AC = 16; Damage = 33)

If Grunt is out of reach, Bjorn will hit the same grunt with a Freeze Dry. If his swinub has already taken him down, then Bjorn attacks the other remaining grunt.

Freeze Dry (AC = 16; Damage = 27)

Bruce

The group continues the mad dash, perhaps silently cursing they were still this far from the stairs down... At least it's looking like a majority of the group will be able to head down next round!

Irene

Irene tries to brace herself, biting her teeth, trying to brace again the pain, but faltering. After all, it was quite hard to resist... Especially since, while she seemed aware none of this was "real", her manifestation of it sure felt real, even if they were leaving psychic scars, not physical ones.

And it would be hard for even the most stoic to not flinch at what happened next. Like one of the cables was burrowing inside her - No, it was like her body was shifting. Being re-purposed. A cable of her own making burrowing out from within, tearing through skin, now attaching to the still gibbering temple construct. It does not like this. Not at all. She can feel her body being shocked, as it seems to return the hostile interference. The being that was doing all this to her did seem like it wanted to help, but couldn't really, not in their current situation. At least, not without risking changing the girl, permanently. Instead, it's attempts to fight back at the temple, only result in more hurt for the poor doomed girl.

"Please hold out a little while longer. It shouldn't be able to resist long in it's current state."

(Irene has taken an additional two injuries. Roll something different, again.)
