Olly lands another 6 blows, for 29 damage, reduced to 26, as the carionite's tongue continues to tear at his arm, landing 5 hits for 18 damage, which becomes 14. As this stage the carionite is becoming desperate, both to escape the onslaught of blows and to get at the blood dripping down Olly's arms, its desire the only thing keeping its injuries from slowing its movements, a wild hunger shining in its eyes.

With a roar, Olly slams the creatures head into the arena floor and finishes it off (I hope) with one last assault.

Loki looks a bit surprised at the arrival of the female, but smiles at her in a charming, yet not too bright way as she grabs his arm and makes a point to flex his muscles a little. "Two rottina." He holds up two fingers in front of her face to make it extra clear. After a pause for thought, he adds. "I'm Loki. Who are you?"

Ollrith
6 hits, Another 28/26 damage.
Olly manages to finish off the carionite with a last powerful blow, the tongue hanging from his arm limply, holding on with the spines. Before he can stand, Allisandra is upon him, hanging from his shoulders and carefully prying the tongue loose, "Hah, that was incredible. You got it where you wanted it and just kept on hitting, you didn't even care what it did to your arm! You definitely get to call me Allie. Come on, let's get back to the prep room so I can get a snack and patch you up, it wouldn't do to get blood on the main halls. I think I have some bandages to make you numb so it doesn't hurt, but the ones that stitch you up are being cleaned, so that will have to wait until Marie or Tor are around. Seriously, though, that was great! Most people are freaked out by demons, so they try to stay as far back as possible, and I was a little doubtful you'd do well when you took the gloves, but you actually went out there and punched it to death! You might just be the second coolest person here, after me. There's nobody in the world like me!"

Loki
"Rottina? Dressed like that? Honey, weighing yourself down isn't going to help you any with them. Lar might be content to let you decide, but I'll make sure you at least know what you're doing. First things first, you want to be light on your feet, so no metal. If you trip and fall they'll get their teeth between the gaps anyway. The halberd will do nicely for a weapon, it will make it easier to hit them without ducking down. And as for who I am to offer you this help, Loki, I am none other than Malis, the queen of suffering. As the queen, I decide who within my sight should suffer and who should not. Poor men like you, who are told no better, should not be made to suffer in order to learn."

"alright i will try to make a translating rune and see how that works." Julius makes a rune of a head talking and concentrates on translation. "stop. No attacking." if that fails to work he shrugs. "ah well worth a shot."

Korga keeps slashing at the base of the tail of the beast stays on the other guy, but since there's a fair chance it will re-tail-iate against her, if it whirls on her she'll tumble underneath, hopefully out of the range of both the tail and the paws, and flipping both knives so the hooked blades protrude past her little finger, hammer her fists on its ribs, seeking to punch the blades between the bone.

Loki smiles even wider, nods and repeats "Malis." Then he starts to take off the metal bits from his armor and hang them up in their respective places again. "Thanks." he says when he's done, casting another big smile at her.

Julius
Julius tries to create a translation rune, but with how the beast thrashes it seems to be of no use. "An interesting idea, regardless. Now, it's about time to put the creature out of its misery."

Korga & Eavus
Korga tries to roll out of reach as the injured tail swipes at her, but she's just too slow, first being hit by the base of the tail before to tip comes about and strikes across her back. As she is struck, korga manages to roll beneath her enemy, away from its tail, striking at its belly from below, while Eavus continues his frontal assault, taking advantage of the felid's momentary distraction to get several good blows in. As he lands his final blow the creature's neck gives a crack and it collapses to the ground, somewhat unfortunately for Korga, who is pinned beneath it. As it falls, Tor approaches, clapping, "I would say the two of you work well together. Taking on a felid with basic weaponry, and coming out of it with only the injuries you have, that's quite impressive. The tail at the very end there was unfortunate, but your actions were not the wrong ones to avoid it by any means, and at this stage, with the threat eliminated, you would be able to wait it out. safely" Placing a boot against the felid's side, he gives a slight shove and sends it tumbling a short distance along the ground before it slumps heavily, "So, my girl, shall I eliminate the venom for you?"

Eavus: 83%HP
Korga: 86%HP [Venom/2 rounds]
Felid: Eliminated

Note to self: High ranking weapons are insanely overpowered. Reduce damage output.

Loki
"Of course, dear boy, what are instructors and examiners for if not to help? Now, let's get to the main event, shall we?" Guiding him by the arm, Malis leads Loki to the back of the room, where a large metal door rests. Putting the sole of one boot against the door, she gives a shove and the door swings out as though it were hit with a sledgehammer, followed shortly by Loki and Malis, who swings the door shut behind them, "Two rottina, you said? Okay, let's get them ready for you." Malis gives two quick signals with her hand and a hatch a quarter of the way around the arena opens, allowing two creatures to shamble through. They're only about as tall as the middle of Loki's shin, but as long as his forearm, as Lar had said. The tips of their tails, as long as their bodies, twitch as they spot Lar, and they huddle close together, but shamble towards him nonetheless.

Risu
After taking a moment to recover, Risu manages to continue upwards, finally pulling herself onto the top of his back. Though it is not an overly stable place to stand, it is far easier than hanging from his side. Taking only a moment to catch her balance, Risu has little difficulty making her way along the length of the behemoth's back to stand on his neck, where he turns a curious eye to look at what may be standing on him.

"Why would we? If they were left alive after a fight most of them would never recover anyway, so it's best that we don't let anybody get weak-hearted about killing these monsters. And killing them makes work for the Hunters, so it's better all around." The carionite twitches for a moment, then goes limp, "Nicely done. I'll clean up later, let's head back for now."

"Alright. ....So you are really powerful right? How does one get more powerful? Just keep practicing magic? If one becomes more powerful would rune effects also become more powerful or will some runes be a set power? Like with an obedence rune, if you were to power it would the creature follow your commands or would it never work due to it being controlled by itself? What is the most powerful enchantment you have seen made?"

"So, my girl, shall I eliminate the venom for you?"

"Thanks, but I kind of want to see how it feels to fight it off... but if you could clear it up if it seems to be getting the better of me?... and well done, ummm... what was your name again?"

Korga lies down and mentally wills her body to fight off this venom, while at the same time paying attention to the symptoms it has on her body. After the venom runs its course, she'll want to inspect the body of the felid.

Julius
"I... Suppose some would call me skilled. But we all have our specialties. The only way to get better is to practice, yes, making sure your body can handle more energy and your mind is precise enough to shape it. Your work... Well, at a low level it works, but it's a bit... General. Obedience, bind, translate, their meanings are a little broad. The first one you decided on, though, 'Hold threatening entity', there was a quality to your intention that was more specific, it narrowed the flow of energy, strengthened it. That is why you need to practice and sharpen your mind. That's why I can be regarded as powerful, because I only need a moment to create enchantment far more precise than most, as can Tor, but I specialise in permanent enchantments while he specialises in the temporary. As for more powerful enchantments, the rune itself has no impact on the strength, only the amount of energy you put into it and how well you specify the effect. Some things simply refuse to heed what we do, though, like your obedience rune. I'm not sure whether that is because there is a limit to what can be done, something was counteracting attempts, or because those who tried are too weak.

As for the strongest enchantment I have made... Well, perhaps not the strongest, but the most useful certainly,"
the woman takes off her spectacles and hands them to Julius, "Try looking through those."

Korga
"Alright, then." As Korga lies back the first symptom of the venom starts showing, her back and a small area around where the tail struck her begins stinging and the muscles become tense. About half a minute later the stinging starts to ease, and stops completely.

"so more specific runes are better because it uses the same ammount of magic for effects and focusing on a certian effect in turn focuses magic on that effect rather than a broad spectrum? So if instead of putting an obedience rune upon the creature I should have made a rune which it followed my commands or to protect me or to attack other demons or beasts."
Julius looks through the glasses. "are there any tips on how to be more specific?"

"I'm assuming when it stops hurting, it's run its course?"

Unless Tor tells her to remains still, Korga sits up and then gets back to her feet, heading over to inspect the felid more carefully, starting with the tail and stinger (of course being careful not to prick herself).

Julius
What Julius sees when he looks through the glasses is quite the shock indeed. Everything is tinged green and seems to be in constant, twisting motion, but around his instructor the tint is far stronger, and seems to swirl around and through her violently. "Those are how I knew you had potential. They let me see... Something. I believe they are making the energy of magic visible, and those who can draw on that energy cause it to roil around them. It has other advantages, as well, inherent to recognising subtle differences in the ambient energy around us. Signs of what is nearby, what exactly an entity is, what materials were used in a blade and how fragile it it, all that can be discerned by being familiar with the appearance and movements of magic. That enchantment is my single greatest accomplishment."

Risu
"Yes, very well done! Monty, lay down. Would you care to come down now?" Monty responds to Gaul's direction, lowering himself to the ground and resting his head just short of the boy, "Good boy, very nicely done."

Korga
"The pain stopping does generally mean the effect has passed, yes. That was remarkably quick, though. Are you sure there's no pain or stiffness?" There are no signs of lingering effects as Korga moves over to the body of the felid. A brief examination of the tail doesn't seem to reveal much. It's about as thick as an arm, and made of the same material as the main body, but the tip is covered with a hard carapace which her knives can't seem to cut, curving down to a sharp point where the venom would be injected.

"No stiffness or pain as far as I can tell.", she says, twisting and bending to check. "How does it look?"

Provided she is able to do so and maintain modesty, she'll shift her armor and clothes to allow Tor to look at the place where she was stung.
