I'd prefer not to involve anyone else who could screw over our end goals by just telling someone else.. You know... Like a certain wizard did.
My voice understandably has less weight to it given that I'm a doddering gnome who has almost zero sense of self.
Just trying to be a voice of logic

Zokk votes for not burning the entire place or burning anything. In fact anything with fire will get vetoed by them. Town burning? Vetoed. Burning a forest? Vetoed. House burning? Vetoed. Campfire? Vetoed. You really want a torch to see at night and in dark places? Vetoed and you get some darkvision.
Anyways I think we should at least wait for K to arrive. He might be able to locate the orb and it would be helpful to have him as backup and being able to gtfo once we get the orb.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
The impression I'm getting is that this is a set up similar to the Italian City States, with certain families retaining political control. We've not met a competitor family for this city so far though. Doesn't mean there isn't one. Might be good to find out. Getting the backing of another major family in the event of a regime change could make life a lot easier. Anders would be an excellent source of info for this provided we can talk to him in a way that doesn't leave him hanging.
The term "Machiavellian" comes to mind.
On an unrelated note: anyone else having trouble accessing the forums? For the last few days, I pretty consistently lose access from about 4 PM local until 6 AM.

From what you guys have heard, it seems the Lord Mayor is the head of the city, whether they are a vassal of anyone else, you don't know.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Weird. I keep getting a time out error in the evenings lately. And it's just for this forum. Could be our local IP. They're slacking pretty hard. This is an area where there's still a lot of copper wire. I think the IP folks are trying to avoid replacing it as long as possible by playing musical chairs with the signals. Gets much worse, I may need to file a FCC report. Definitely not getting what I paid for.

Coljin's advice is that planning is good, but whatever is figured out, we wait for Kreldoran to arrive before doing anything drastic.

Ulmwin is going at the very least suggest we might want to sleep with one eye open as long as we remain in the city...

Watching Deadwood for the first time. Now that Gordon knows "fork" and "nyfe", the character of Wu reminds me of him...

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
My updating may be a little erratic. Apparently, my local ISP has decided to block the forum website for who knows what reason. I can connect through the VA network, but I want to be careful about that, since IT gets a little funny about using the network excessively for "private activities". Long and short of it that I can only log onto the forum through my work computer or while I'm remoting in. Since proxy servers still seem to work, I may need to look at a VPN. I'll have to research it a little more.

More likely Pembleton's guards are thinking that while Pembleton himself enjoys a nice meal in celebration of a job well done.

Just as long as he doesn't look out the window. Right now Randy's doing a reasonably good impression of a Jager. That could be a bit unsettling.

What's a Jager? A google only provides alcohol, sea birds and (high quality) blue white diamonds.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
In order for him to have a hat and call himself a Jager, he'd need to beat someone worthwhile up who had a hat. Spider's never mentioned hats on anyone yet.

Re: The Sundered Way - OOC
Also I briefly want to say I was planning on having Ulmwin disguise himself and do a stealth lookaround the estate that way... But apparently the idea of a stealthy scoping for this party is to have half the party surround the property and stare
