"Oh, I forgot about the redhead. Yeah. When did everyone have time to be alone and meet these people??? I guess I need to sleep less." Coljin shrugs, finishes his free brown ale, "I am still irritated that they just had to go and show the orb around to people and get it taken. No one noticed when I found it, if we had just kept quiet we could be back to Kreldoran by now, and out of this human-centric city."

Dornikal clears his throat at the comments from Coljin.

"Well Tess wasn't sure what we'd be handing back to Kreldoran... And she wasn't comfortable with leaving the lass that died with some investigating. Aye don't know, it did complicate things."

Over at the Pembleton estate, the door opens and the four new arrivals exit, dividing into pairs and circling the house. For the moment, Zokk seems to be taken for just a tree on the property, up by the shady side of the house, and Randy is able to hide behind him... but if Pembleton or Mister Gibbs were to look out or circle the house, they'd likely know that it doesn't belong there. The pairs are moving among the occasional pedestrians, getting close enough to make folks uncomfortable and get them to move along.

Holger debates going up to them and making sure they know just how awesome he is, but Randy's warning is still echoing in his head, so he figures there's plenty of time later for them to come to admire the majesty of Holger Starwind, so moves a few blocks away, circling around looking for Tess.

Zokk motions to the nearest friend tree and moves twoards it, moving slow enough for Randy to keep up.

There is an inoffensive looking oak up the block, and Zokk times his retreat to coincide with the patrols not being right on hand to watch a yew tree uproot itself and slip amongst the shadows to join the oak.

The housekeeper returns, carrying a basket, and after being confronted by one of the pairs, is escorted to the house.

Randy looks thoughtfully at the situation. "Well this complicates things a little. Nice spell by the way, Zokk. Could you do that again later tonight? Do you think you could cover a couple more people with it?"

Dornikal tips the ale back then says,

"Getting some food for Gordon, gonna eat upstairs."

He then collects the food, eats his food first and then brings Gordon the special food.

Dornikal shows him how to use the utensils and what the different food items are called. He will not be cleaning up any messes though. Randy can handle that part of the crazy gnome raising.

With Dornikal mentioning feeding Gordon, Coljin sits and ponders how long it will take the un-tubed gnome to get back into shape physically and mentally, and what he might be able to do, to make the process quicker.
Medicine: 1D20+7 = [17]+7 = 24

To Ulmwin he ponders, "Gordon isn't really getting along on his own. He'll be a hindrance to anyone in regular day to day living, let alone in our lifestyle of fighting. We can't leave him here in this city where any non human is barely tolerated, but maybe we can leave him with Kreldoran, or maybe have Kreldoran teleport him to Circle Vale for the monks to teach and they could also maybe learn of the old time from him. That might be a good solution of what to do with him. What do you think?"

He seems exhausted, but mostly seems to be responding well to rest and being regularly fed and watered. With a couple more days, he should be largely back to normal, at least physically. The mental atrophy may take a bit longer.

You are aware of a higher level cleric spell called greater restoration that would help to mitigate some of his problems, but it's currently beyond your capabilities, and if you were to find someone at one of the temples willing and able to cast it, they'd likely charge a fair bit for it. As you recall, it requires a significant amount of diamond dust just to cast it, and with casting fees and the like, you're looking at multiple hundreds of gold in expenses, to essentially gain a day's worth of rest.

Gordon watches as he is shown how to use utensils and instead of cramming everything in his mouth, does his best to eat slowly. The food is so tasty, tastier than everything he remembers ... He realizes he doesn't remember what anything tastes like which causes tears to begin flowing down his face.

Once eating is accomplished, and having a nap... He follows the others downstairs.

The salt of his tears flavors his food.

A few hours pass, and Ily stays on overwatch, with Tess relaying movements to the rest of you. The pairs of guards are patrolling less and less frequently as passerby are staying clear. Eventually they post up by the front and back doors, lounging casually. Every few minutes one guy gets up from the front door, walks around to the back and greets the two there, one of which peels off and circles the other side of the house to the front. They occasionally approach people getting too close for their comfort, one being a street kid who flashes a vulgar gesture and scampers off. The guard curses, but doesn't pursue, returning instead to his rounds.

As dusk approaches, the housekeeper exits and totters up the street. One of the guards seems to offer her an escort, but she waves him off.

((Seems that Theis is out of commission as well as Thinks for the moment, so Lurks and Burns, things are up to you, but you can utilize the skills of the others on watch with you. Are you two sticking together, or splitting up to cover more area? Tess only has 120 ft range on message, so she can only reach folks on one half of the building, so Ily, Tess and Holger are on one side... You could either join them and remain out of sight, or be on the other side and seeing everything Ily sees. I'd say if that's the case, Zokk could keep Pw/oT up, if he keeps resting to regain ki and Randy is the one keeping watch from his branches or whatnot.))

(( Uhm. Do we need to take a break for a bit? If we burgle the house, it'd probably be Tess, Holger, and Randy as the entry team with Zokk providing cover on the way in. I'm a little reluctant to start something major while two of the principle players involved are away. What does everyone else think? ))

(( I take it RL has handed them both curve balls? Another reason I'm a little reluctant to proceed is what happened with Badge. By the time he got back, he felt he was so far behind that he found it easier to just start a new character. Tess and Holger are the major drivers for the party going to Eastmont. It would be hard to bench them and even harder to substitute for them. I agree that we don't want to leave the game on indefinite hold, but yeah, maybe a shift to one of the other games for a week or so? That's not too long by "Forum Time". If not back by then, we go ahead and hope they can catch up later...or find a way to gracefully edit them out so that if they want they can return at a later date. ))

((Yeah, I know Thinks has been dodging curveballs, and Theis was similarly forum limited during the fight against the sea critters. I've not yet reached out to either of them this week to see if they have any thoughts on when they might be more available, but autopiloting one character short term is a bit different from playing with a quarter of the party essentially as NPCs.))

Holger leans over to the others as they are watching.

"I can think of two ways to try to get in unnoticed at the moment. We either go in from the side and try to get access through the windows after they've walked around or I try to put the remaining one to sleep during the patrol and we head in through the main door within a minute."
