(( I'll post now since I'm going to be busy for a bit.))

Randy shakes his head clear again, glares at the 5th man, then gives an evil smile back. "Not going to be that easy, dirt bag!" He drops the sword and grabs up his horn. Concentrating on Dornikal, he blows mightily on it. (( If he has the time, he'll also do it for Maj and Galt. Randy will then take dodge and recover his sword.))

(( I guess that would depend on how likely you are to sleep through somebody blowing an air horn close by. :) There's a FEW people who can. The same ones who sleep through tornadoes and earthquakes. The horn is magically heard only by the targeted individual and no one else and has a range of 160 ft I believe. Randy is actually pretty close by with nothing obstructing, so it should be reasonably loud to the target. ))

(( True, but it's also a magic horn. Ultimately, it's up to Spider to decide if one is enough to negate the effects of another. It would be...unusual ... for any of the guide materials to cover this particular detail. People CAN be roused from sleep spells normally. It just takes some effort, like waking someone from deep sleep. There ARE exceptions of course. ))

Ulmwin's gonna hit the guy that's already been hit again with a dissonant whispers, while heading southwards towards Maji and the others..!

dissonant whispers: 3D6 = [3, 5, 5] = 13

(WIS save with DC 13, on fail they take full damage and have to use their reaction to run as far as possible, likely triggering AOO. Damage halved on success)

Ulmwin steps forward, singing a discordant tune for the ears of the fellow with the sliced up robe alone. He drops his scimitar, clasping his hands to his ears, screaming as blood trickles from his eyes and ears, he turns to run, making a half step before he collapses to the sand. The others seem quite shaken, their matching faces no longer grinning.

The canines dart forward warily towards the carts.

((Randy, it's an action to activate the magic by blowing the horn, so you won't be able to take the Dodge Action, and it'd be your free object interaction to pull out the horn, so not able to pick up sword this turn, if that changes what you want to do.))

Randy drops his sword, flames licking at the sand, to pull out the Horn of Silent Alarm and blows on it, targeting Dornikal. The dwarf doesn't stir, and the grins creep back onto the faces of the men surrounding the ranger as he seemingly fails to blow the horn.

Zephyr feels the world pressing in on her as enemies quickly surround the wagons. She throws a bolt of fire at the robed figure who closed in on the wagons.
Fire Bolt: 1D20+4 = [15]+4 = 19
Fire Bolt: 1D10 = [9] = 9

After Firing, Zephyr runs over to Tren and draws on her inner strength to try to shake Tren awake.

((You can get to the southern front corner of the wagon Tren is in with your movement, action to Firebolt the guy near the mules? Then you'd have to use your actions surge to dash in order to get up to Tren and would have to wait until next turn to attempt to wake her.))

Zephyr scoots past the mules to Tren's wagon, firing off a bolt that zips past one of the other mules, its eyes rolling in terror between being grabbed by a strange man, and nearly being shot by the tiefling. The bolt hits the man, who hisses in anger and glares at Zephyr.

((Doh. Realized I somewhat goofed something.))

When Szartha firebolts the robed guy, and when Ulmwin kills one with music murder, both of the bodies seem to largely vanish within a mound of their clothes and gear.

Coljin will study all the oncoming enemies, intent on figuring out if something is wrong/fake about them. He grew up around illusions and feels something is very wrong here.

Investigation with guidance: 1D20+1D4 = [17]+[4] = 21

Whatever he figures out, he will announce as LOUDLY as he can.

(Heading out on vacation tonight until the end of the month. Will have some net access in the evenings when I have WIFI, but not gonna be able to use Coyotecode decently. I'll post when I can, but will need my rolls done for me. Certainly do not wait for me to post, autorun Coljin as necessary please. He will begin using Toll the Dead once an enemy is in range and fighting needed. He also has guiding bolt and command today if needed.)

As soon as he figures that out, he will yell out, "They are not illusions, they are all real, evil, wild creatures of some sort."

Szartha likewise fires on the robed fellow who has hold of the mule, the firebolt blasting through to impact on the sand. As the robes crumple into a pile, a bit of singed fur falls to the ground.

Holger will distance himself from them by moving 20 ft SW and eldritch blast one guy

Holger eldritch blast: 2D20.HIGH(1)+6 = [6, 15]+6 = 21
Eldritch blast damage: 1D10 = [8] = 8

Nem will remain hidden and motionless, and encourage Ily to run (dash if necessary) towards somewhere he might be able to hide again in any direction except towards her (I guess that's really Ily's turn).

Since she has no other actions to take, she'll try and get a better look at the creature that's chasing Ily.

Perception: 1D20+4 = [12]+4 = 16

((If investigation or insight is more appropriate, they're +2; she's just trying to see what the person is)).

(( It occurs to me that the person who's most likely to survive this relatively unscathed is going to be Tess, just by the prudent action of hiding while the rest of us get creamed. :chuckle:

I'm going to be out of pocket for a bit this afternoon. I've got a mandatory training session that going to take a few hours. ))

(I'm more than a little confused why she hasn't snuck up to the guy for a little stealth stabby stabby..., though I'm sure she'll get some flack once this is all over. I'm undecided about whether or not this fight will result in a death.)

Has the fortune tellers cap activated yet at all?

But the real question is..will Randy sacrifice himself by using the fire gem on the enemies that surround him?
