Re: The Sundered Way
"Ah, ok. That makes more sense now. Well, you will need to talk to the rest of them if you want to take a 4 mile detour away from the road. And good luck, that is going to take some good persuasion skills. I'd start with Randy if it were me trying to do that."

Maji writes something down before he goes over to Randy and taps on his shoulder, holding the sign up. Can we fight giant spider?

Re: The Sundered Way
Randy looks at the sign, looks hesitant. "That's a ways off the trail Maj. And don't giant spiders live underground? I would think they would at least in the desert. That would mean leaving the wagons unattended for an extended period of time while we try to find the spiders, provided we can track them down in a cave...with who knows what else in there." Randy shakes his head. "I doubt the others are going to be interested in this. They're just wanting to get back to civilization now. Especially Szartha and his crew. If it was just us, you might be able to sell the others. There's no profit for a caravaner who's under equipped to go adventuring." He shrugs. "You can ask the others, but I wouldn't hold my breath."

"Maybe on the way back this way, Maji, if we don't have a caravan with us. But leaving the wagons here won't work at this time." Coljin makes a point to want to push on to the east, "We still have two weeks travel without any detours."

Dornikal helps get the wagons ready and takes crossbow next to Tess if she will have him, missing Rens.

Nem is more than happy to have Dornikal for company, assuming he doesn't mind the singing

Seeing Dornikal looking sad, Nem will redouble her efforts to cheer him up by singing more.

Dornikal gives Tess a strained smile and goes to his happy place as he keeps watch, repeating a mantra to Dumathoin in his mind.

Ulmwin has no idea what's going on, but will obviously be playing the lute to accompany the singing.

Hearing a performance on the way, Holger can't resist being part of it, unknowingly assisting with breaking the dwarven mind.
He's not interested in hunting the giant spider either, especially not when he realise that's Maji is going to make a meal out of it.

Re: The Sundered Way
The party seemingly wanting to move onwards through the desert, sets out in an easterly direction. After a few hours of travel, you encounter a few foot wide trough or depression, sand mounded up to either side, (almost as though something were dragged) as it intersects with the sparsely covered roadway, and continues on the other side. The general trajectory meets the roadway at a steep angle (ie, if road is running W <--> E, this is WNW <---------> ESE), but it seems to curve back and forth and back again in either direction.

Re: The Sundered Way
Dornikal politely declines Tess' offers to join in and decides that the group must have survived by the luck of the gods. After about an hour of the cheering up Dornikal explains he needs to use a nearby sand dune and hops down from the wagon. He oddly enough doesn't return to sit by Tess after that, stating he needs to stretch his legs. Near the back of the caravan.
((Well after the whole spear joke I had an inkling.))
When he spots the trough he walks over to examine it.
Investigation or nature: 1D20 = [11] = 11
((Any chance he is looking at a giant snake trail? ))

Randy looks over the "trail" intersecting the road.
