Re: The Sundered Way
Zephyr, acting as chief in the field of things, starts trying to figure out what all is available to be stuffed into the carts. She walks around the cave, making note of what things exist, and making piles of things. She also places the following into the bag of holding. (let me know at what point I can no longer put things into it)
Weight:
130 Damaged Orc Plate Armor 2 (65 each)
2 War Pick 1
60 Chain Shirt 3 (20 each)
40 Dented Half Plate 1
84 Hide Armor x 7 (mostly damaged) (12 each) (I would be okay with leaving these behind if we're running out of space)
40 Shaman's Ring Mail
6 Shaman's Shield
55 Yertak's Chain Mail
10 Shortsword 5 (2 each)
49 Greataxes x 7 (not all in the best shape) (7 each)
8 Javelin x 4 (2 each)
9 Spear x 3 (3 each)
3 Bolts x 40 (.075 each)
1 Clockwork Amulet 1
3 Cloak of Many Fashions 1
2 Horn of Scribing 1
1 Alchemist's Fire 1
10 Block and Tackle 2 (5 each)
1 Shaman's Pendant
1 Yertak's Pendant
21 Orc Greataxe 3 (7 each)
4 Orc Battleaxe 1
65 Orc Plate Armor 1
36 Bottles of Wine 12 (3 each)
15 Bottles of Liquor 5 (3 each)
35 Portable Ram
Total: 691 / 500
Hunting Trap 1
Iron Pot 1
Tinker's Tools 1 (Ulmwin is taking)

((ok, but we should also discuss IC. Especially since Nem is invested in the state of the wagon she put 3 months of care into. She thinks of it as a travelling home, not a tetris puzzle box. She can be persuaded, but she'll need to be spoken to ))

Re: The Sundered Way
As the weeks wind down toward the group finally leaving, Zephyr makes it a point to have a look at all of the wares that are packed on the wagons, as well as asking the group about the best objects to keep in the bag of holding, as well as showing them all (in case they didn't know) how it worked.
Finally she approaches the caravan master and asks for his opinion on the trade goods that are currently stacked into the wagons, asking him whether any of the goods were in fact worthless, but further asking him where might the goods have been bound for and how much they would be worth if they were taken to whereever they were bound as opposed back to where they originated from.
Finally, she tries to find a way to keep the chair, mostly by looking for 2 spare wheels, intent on making something that can be strapped behind one of the wagons.

Re: The Sundered Way
While we're all waiting in the caves to leave, Nem will have converted the insides of at least their original wagon into a confortable living and sleeping space (with the blankets, throws and cushions that were in there to begin with). It can be repacked as needed when it's time to go, but in the meantime, she's sleeping in the wagon rather than on the hard stone floors of the mine.

((Can I have a little more detailed description of the shield, please. Randy MIGHT take it if he can scrub the symbol off the front. Should be possible. We're not exactly short on sand. ))

((The shaman's shield is wooden, with the eye motif burned into the wood. If you had some paint it could be painted over, or likely blended out with a blade and sand.))

Re: The Sundered Way
((Any luck on his unfinished gemstones?)
Once the headstones are ready Dornikal will place them and he will also work on cleaning of Yertak's symbol from the shield.
He will stay out of the discussion about wagon contents unless specifically asked about something.

((You find them in the bottom of the jeweler's kit. Yertak's shield is a metal overlay, it could be scrubbed to just look like a sword (remove bloody bit).))

Re: The Sundered Way
Randy scowls at the symbol on the shield an shaves it down with a knife. He then takes a piece of old blanket, a little water, and sand and starts scrubbing the entire surface of the shield, taking it all down to new wood and scrubbing metal surfaces 'till they shine. He then lightly oils it to help protect it from the weather.

Re: The Sundered Way
Yeah, I think I've done all the meaningful contribution Ulmwin can do himself, at least for now..? I mean I'm totally planning on pulling some pranks where "Holger" is shouting at Tess asking when dinner is ready and stuff, but I'm not sure if I should do that already or wait until we're "on the road"...
(Also thinking about trying out the tinker's tools and actually making one of the "gizmo's"... Maybe I can make a clockwork bear, and call it "mini-maji"?)

Coljin, you rattle the bones and toss them. For a moment it looks to land on both weal and woe, before tottering over to a blank face. It would seem not enough is clear, or your proposed action won't have much effect.

Re: The Sundered Way
Sighing and not seeming happy about the outcome, or lack thereof, Coljin puts the bones carefully away in his pack and then tells Randy. "I will cast that spell on the orc whenever you like."

Ily happily stays put for the belly rub, but when it seems like things are getting serious again, he'll bolt back up onto Randy's head. Serious decisions require serious attention (and proper seating) after all, and belly rubs are distracting.

Re: The Sundered Way
One of the days when he is feeling better and before they leave Dornikal moves to an area near the mine entrance where he has good lighting and takes a seat with his back to the wall.
He pulls out his jeweler's tools and one of the two unworked gems. He spends a long time just sitting an staring at the stone, slowly spinning it in his hands. He takes out a small hammer and lightly taps it in a few spots. After a tapping the hammer is laid aside and, clutching the stone between both hands, whispers a prayer and waves Coljin over for his Blessing as well.
Mine gem (int+jk+nice gem bonus and dext+jk): 1D20+2+1D6 = [4]+2+[2] = 8
1D20+5 = [2]+5 = 7
+ Mine gem guidance: 1D4 = [4] = 4
As he works he finds he is unable to focus, images of his companions still too fresh for the focus required, and the gem comes out barely mediocre.
((So much for impressing people with his skill.
Let me know it's value when you get a chance Spider))
