Stephen's brows furrow as he peers at the pin. "Wait, so you expect me to believe that the Lord Mayor's office is investigating something within the guard... By sending the two of you to ask me questions about a dead woman? Who put you up to this... Was it Jimothy? Or Tonathan? Ever since they fell for that old tax collection prank they've been trying to get me back. Well, you can tell them it was a nice try, but you've got to get up pretty early to pull one over on me."

Nem shrugs and puts the pin away.

"Never heard of either of them. Well, we won't force the issue, but don't say you weren't warned. There is a simple way to do this and a complicated way. "

"Uh huh... Well, even if you are working for the Lord Mayor, it'd take more than flashing a pin and some vague whatsit. If I step outside normal procedures and don't have it documented, then it falls on me. So you can let Jimothy or whoever you report to know what they'll need to do better next time."

He stands and collects the teacups, clearly expecting you to leave.

Dornikal looks over at Tess, seeing where she is going with this or if they will be leaving.

"I'm certain you'll get the chance to meet and talk with people while being our companion. You also handled yourself well down below from what I heard so I'm sure that you'll feel useful when we encounter something new.
What would you say Maji's mission was?"

”Yeeees, I wiiiill, buuut wheeeen aaaall uuuncleee’s frieeends aaarooouund.”

"Hopefully tonight then after I've played. You and your parent shouldn't by any chance have collected a lot of limbed teeth when you wandered through the caves to kill the stragglers?"

Holger sighs at the thought that his supposed family wouldn't even get him his teeth back.. Maybe it would be possible to change the mage armor spell to include a mouthguard in the future in case it ever happens again.

Nem shrugs and thanks the guy for the tea and heads back to the city with Dornikal to see Holger's performance.

Dornikal thanks the odd man and heads back with Tess, splitting to head to the inn and saying,

Back at the inn he will go to his room and start working a gem. The one he has a design for already, the amber hunk?

Randy, passing by the graveyard, sees a couple of familiar figures heading north. It isn't too much effort to catch to with Tess and Dornikal.
