The snake hisses angrily as Korrik jabs it hard in the face.

Syli is up, and then I need an initiative roll for Mehriv (who can't beat Syli's roll).

Huge Snake
Kal
Varsk
Gwen

When Varsk's turn comes up (and presuming the snake isn't dead):

He pulls himself up out of the water cursing both the stone, the water and the snake. He turns and judges the distance and determines that everything will be done, one way or the other, before he can cross the stream now. He pulls out both of his handaxes from his belt and takes a deep breath to calm himself before squinting at the snake, pulling back and hurling first one and then the second axe at the thickest part of its scaly body.

Attack: 2d20(low)+6=13
Damage: 1d6+4 = 5

((Should the snake be dead by the time Varsk's turn comes around he will just pull himself out of the water and double down on the cursing.))

Syli whips around to see what the commotion is about, her fur standing on end. With a hiss, she darts back up the tree, making a mad dash across the canopy. She wasn't going to be much use unless she could get on the other side of the river...

If she makes it across, she positions herself on one of the sturdier boughs, reverting back into an elf positioned above the fight.

Syli
--Dash: Speed increased (+40 Land, +30 Climb)
--Acrobatics (+2): 7 (If a dex check is called for on top of that: 4)
--(If she makes it across): Drop wildshape (Bonus Action)

((...okay, seriously? I was going to stick with Unseen Servant, since I don't like bouncing back and forth between dice rollers, but of the 12 rolls I've made so far, NINE of them have been 7 or less. Not statistically impossible, but the odds of it can only be expressed as a fraction of a percentage. I don't know if this is just an absurd run of bad luck or if something's screwed up with Unseen Servant, but either way, this is my last roll on there.))

The shore party watch in mild confusion as the ginger cat hisses at the snake, bolts straight back up the tree, leaps...

...and promptly lands right back in the river with a(nother) yowl and a splash, approximately halfway across the channel.

((The snake has the higher DEX score (+2), so it will go first, then Mehriv is up))

((PS - Spider, I made a roll error on the last snake attack. It should have been 2d6 instead of 2d8, so you should only have taken 11 HP damage that round, not 13 HP. It doesn't do you much good I'm afraid, but my bad!)).

Keeping its head perfectly still as it keeps perfect eye contact with Korrik, the huge snake slithers its body around and tries to grab him with its tail while Korrik is distracted by the toothy end, squeezing the air from his lungs as blackness fills his vision and his body goes limp.

Constrict: 1D20+6 = [17]+6 = 23
Constrict: 1D20+6 = [14]+6 = 20 -> With Disadvantage

Constrict Attack: 2D8+4 = [3, 4]+4 = 11

- Still hits I'm afraid, but you can make your attacks as it moves into your range.

Mehr blasts the snake with successive Magic Missiles (I'm just gonna roll it as 3d4+3 rather than three separate 1d4+1 rolls.)

9 damage.

The missles hurtle into the snake's massive body and it hisses angrily. It is starting to look rather the worse for wear, but still seems intently focused on its newfound meal.

Kal is up

Hmm. I was going to try to shoot it, but with Korrik Mostly DeadÔäó, I guess priorities have shifted.

Kal says a quick prayer to Pelor and rushes to ford the river, shouting to draw the snake's attention.

((I don't know if I'll be available to post when my initiative count comes back up, and since my action's probably going to be pretty much the same regardless of what happens next, I'll just leave it here in advance))

On her next turn, Syli once again desperately doggy-paddles toward the far shore... and the desperation of the situation seems to fill her feline paws with a rather surprising vigor!

If she makes it to shore safely, she'll transform back into her elven form.

--Athletics (-4): 16 (CRIT!)

((If you are waiting on Varsk his above action stands except he takes his action surge and throws his other axe

After his throw Varsk will glance at Gwen who has reached across the language divide to color the air with orcish vulgarity.

Kal says a quick prayer and then throws himself into the water, striding through the waist-deep water as fast as he can, managing to keep his balance as the water tugs at his and more of the swirling shapes bump into his legs. He makes it 30 feet across the river (10 feet to go).

Varsk hurls two throwing axes at the beast, both of which bite into the snake's hide and stick. The snake turns its attention to the group in the water, apparently sizing up its options.

Gwen is next, then I'll take a death save for Korrik.

Gwen blasts the giant snake with her magic again. It is looking really rough...

Korrik needs a death save.

Syli the wet cat paddles desperately to the far bank while small creatures and weeds bump into her paws. She makes it safely to the bank however, and hauls herself out, collapsing onto the river bank and reverting to her elvish form.

(You've used your full movement, and a bonus action to turn back into an elf but you still have your action to spend if you'd like).

It's probably out of melee range but pretty close. Maybe 10-20 feet or so.
