Ah'Sereen takes barely a moment to open the shackles and they fall open in her hands.
The woman blinks at the two women, then stiffly, painfully pulls herself to her feet, rubbing her wrists. She let's out a delighted laugh and throws her arms around Aura's neck.
"Thank you!! You have no idea how long I have waited for this!"
She hugs her tightly for a moment and then lets go, taking the opportunity to test her legs as she shakily circles the room, leaning on the walls for support. As she walks, she talks, ignoring Dain completely:
"This place is a prison. When our three queens vanished, I, Cadamosto and Dogon set out to find them and return them to their rightful place in the world. We followed the trail to this maze, and though we found riches, we also found Psathyrella the Medusa. She is the jailor here, and utterly evil. Be wary of her, but destroy her if you can and seek out the sisters! They must be set free to take their rightful places as the queens they are!"
((I assume that Aura and Ah'Sereen are standing near the shackles in the centre of the room, but where is everyone else standing?))

Aura seems happy that the woman is so relieved to be free, and nothing bad is happening!
AND DEFINITELY NOTHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN EITHER.

Art would have been standing between the painting and where she had been shackled.

Dain is standing off to the side where he can keep an unobstructed view of the woman. He's still primed to fire if anything funny goes on. Since it's likely to be out of 10 ft. range, he'll have rotated off to having Ray of Frost prepped.

The ghost does not return after a minute, and so Warryn takes matters into his own hands, recasts the spells and tries the door. It isn't locked and opens smoothly at his touch.
Erik peeks out into the next room... It looks to be some kind of storeroom. Hooks line the walls, with scraps of ancient, rotting cloth hanging from them. The smell of ancient rotting food, mixed with the pungent odor of fresh onion and sour wine assaults the poor weasel's nose. Standing near a door to the right is a very shiny bird. It seems to be fussing over something.
There is another door to the far left.
((I'll get you a separate map when I get home))
The woman circles the room as she talks and ends up standing near Art, next to the painting.

Ah'sereen watches the woman's behavior as she moves closer to the painting...

"Are you opening the door for us before leaving?" he asks in a slightly irritated tone. If she was just a prisoner he is glad she will be free, but he feels sorry for whomever she is going home to!

She doesn't look like she's in any fit state to literally run anywhere, though you do get the impression she is keen to make sure she can at least reach the painting again should the deal go south. Given Dain's behaviour, you're not sure you can blame her...
She looks at Art and laughs, draping an arm over his shoulder.
"But of course! Just pull on the chains and the door will unlock. Forgive the small deception, there is no magic barrier."

Huh. Maybe that's what was off about her story...

Creeping into the room, Warryn tries to see what the bird is up to without getting its attention. Unfortunately, the pungent aroma throws him off his game a bit.

((I don't suppose the room counts as "rocky terrain"? Because then I'd get advantage on that stealth check

Dain growls at her. "Stay put until we check. Is there anything else you know about the other side of that door? Once we've checked to see it's unlocked you can go." He adds soto voice "And good riddance."

The woman shrugs.
"You can ask me as many times as you like! I still don't know what it's become. It was empty last time I saw it."

Warryn sneaks into the room beautifully and is utterly let down by a sudden squeak from the door hinge.
The bird, which appears to be a mechanical peacock, looks him up and down with what can only be described as disgusted horror. Now that you're in the room, you can also make out a tray of plates covered in unidentifiable mouldy chunks and some bottles. One plate seems to have escaped the mould somehow. Otherwise, the room is filled with cupboards, drawers and what look like coathooks.
"Oh no! This shall not do! No! This area is reserved for a VERY exclusive private function and I want none of you riff-raff spoiling the mood and ruining the ambience. Out! And tell that boy to stop bring strays into my cloakroom! Shoo!
He flusters towards you, flapping his metal wings at you. It sounds like a bit like tinsel.

As the peacock approaches, Warryn tries to compose himself and look like he
wasn't just skulking around in the shadows. Giving a small bow, he affixes a pleasant smile to his usually dour face.
"Oh, were you not informed? I was sent in to help with the cleaning. The mistress was worried you were a tad overloaded with work. I'm very sorry for startling you."
Deception check: 1D20+4 = [3]+4 = 7
If the peacock is unconvinced, or asks for proof, Warryn uses his Mage Hand to pick up one of the filthy plates, than casts Prestidigitation to instantly clean it to a polished shine.

He sniffs haughtily.
"The mistress sent you, did she? Well, I cannot imagine she would require the services of such a poorly-dressed servant. Go and find some appropriate attire and return quickly! I won't have the guests seeing us so grossly underdressed on the day of such an important wedding!"

"Oh of course, how very rude of me. I'm not used to doing front-of-house work."
"I'll be right back."
Slipping back into the pillar-room, Warryn quickly casts Disguise Self. His cloak and Bag are replaced by a neat, generic "servant's uniform", complete with shiny brass buttons and a little hat. He also modifies his features slightly - a lighter brown skin tone, smoother complexion, smattering of fair hair here and there. As far as anyone else should be able to tell, he's nothing more than a normal Rock Gnome. Albeit without the beard. He also straightens his posture a little; good disguises were about more than just appearances, after all.
After leaving a few minutes, he returns to the cloakroom(?) and addresses the peacock with a bow.
"Is this better? If so, where do you want me? I know a few minor incantations that should help with your chores."
((I'm picturing something like a bellhop uniform, in a dark red with black accents. Something similar to
this.))

Moving to the counter, Warryn recasts Mage Hand and uses it to help sort the dishes, cleaning them with Prestidigitation. As he works, he tries making conversation with the peacock.

Warryn sets to cleaning the dishes. The ones with the mould spruce up nicely, but there's a remarkably fresh-looking half onion sitting out, as well as a bottle of cheap white wine and a jar of pickles. Each of them looks fine, and yet are utterly unappealing.
"My name is Zacchaeus Wybrow. You may call me Master Wybrow. Come on then, are you finished yet? The guests must be finishing soon..."
