Underling shrieks as Blob Bob approaches, fumbling and dropping his keys. Panicking, he presses his back to the door and raises both hands, touching thumb to thumb and forefinger to forefinger as he extends his hands. "Brennende Hände!"

Flames spew from his fingers, washing over Blob Bob and Ooze, burning most unpleasantly!
((Dex Saves from Blob Bob and Ooze, please!))
The heat and burning oblex alerts two others that had been lurking near the back of the lab...

Slem slops over to the delicious little Underling and slams itself into the future meal!

Slem attacks!: 1D20+5 = [14]+5 = 19
1D4+3+1D4 = [4]+3+[3] = 10

Blob Bob, point blank as they are, manages to avoid taking a full blast of flame to the face... err... forward facing surface. They dodge the sheet of fire as best they can, flattening against the floor, but the heat still causes their back to blister and sizzle painfully.

Miasma (Burns): (18/18): 23
Underling (18/18): 19
Sluj (Dlover): (18/18): 15. <--------<<<

initiative: 1D20 = [11] = 11

(Been rather busy so I'll think of a proper name and such later today still, I hope... But here's an initiative roll for now!)

(Fire Resistance Experiment Delta) or Fred wakes with the smell of ooze burning from the magic fire. Fred moves around in his beaker and then finally oozes out towards the screaming trying to figure out what is going on...

Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and he have all been proven to be just as weak against fire as their elder siblings by underling...

Bright heat?...why more bright heat?... Fred thinks before stopping and considering what to do about nasty underling...

_: 1D20+3 = [2]+3 = 5

Miasma slowly slinks from it’s container after it hears a sudden noise. They were napping after being jostled, and now a bit cranky. They slowly slirp along the wall to see what is going on.

Inititive: [1d20] = 20

Edit: i forgot dex of 3, so it is 23 total.

Sluj, convinced in its decision by Underling's struggles, crawls forward, attempting to engulf Underling (Pseudopod attack)

Pseudopod: 1D20+5 = [12]+5 = 17
2D4+3 = [4, 1]+3 = 8

(So technically 4+3=7 bludgeoning, 1 psychic.)

Hunters of Letrua; Character list
Also Player / Monster stats, skill lists.

My characters:
Tugs Tails, the goblin that was sort of a trapper and wears a bear's tail at his neck, for some reason - Lair of the Mountain King (Run by Thinks)
Alex Sparo, A city boy, poor of sight, who has learned to manipulate people and make the most of what he, and others, have - Trinity Isles (Run by Mort)
Mehriv Turajin, a Noble Dragonborn Sorcerer sent from his clan because he wasn't dragony enough. - The Wandering Archipelago (Run by Thinks)

Sluj swings to whap Underling in the knee, the human throws up a hand and shouts a spell, "Tarian!" and is surrounded by a shimmering green light... but crumples in pain as Sluj swings right through it and buckles his leg.

Slem isn't far behind their sibling, and a slimy psuedopod pummels Underling, his high pitched sounds ceasing.

Those of you that are hungry, may sup upon the meat that was Underling, and one of you can assume his form, if you'd like to over a short rest.

((I'll post his statblock in a separate post below in case it triggers any firewalls.))

Miasma oozes to the fresh meat, it’s body swallows? the underling’s leg, digesting the meat to it’s body.

<Agreed.>

Blob Bob, outer parts still twinging from pain of fire, creeps forward and tastes underling.

Hunger satisfied, but allowing another to have his corpse, blob Bob picks at dropped metal keys and begins trying then in the door hole.

Blob Bob surrounds the dropped keys, but has no means with which to try them in the door. It's adorable.

Sluj hungrily devours flesh, sliding over bones in search of scraps long after the meal is done. Master sent good food. Master kind. Still hungry. We go under door? Or, use bones? Underling wanted out, must have open.

With others withdrawing from the completed meal, and if there are no others seeking to claim the bones, Sluj will set to engulfing what remains (Maybe Sluj find more scraps?) and claiming their form.

((Am I really going to end up being a caster yet again? Does anybody else want the bones? ))

((If you're abiding by Gomz suggestion of keeping what you kill, then it would be between Sluj and Slem, depending on if dealing most of the damage counts more than taking off the final HP. If you want to not, you can see if Rodgeir claims the bones, or if neither of you do, you can defer and let someone else have them.))

Miasma tries to squeeze through the cracks from the door.

(So does that mean we might get larger?)

Slem, from its spot inside Underling's chest (came in via the throat) having eaten all of the goodest of bits, communicates to the hesitating Sluj,

"Slem will take if Sluj don't want?"

It will begin expanding to engulf the remains of underling should Sluj agree.

((Dlover, if you doesn't want to be a caster I can take Underling. Hopefully there will be a lot of options later. Either way, I don't think this body with its 9 HP is going to hold for long!

@Mort it looks like Underling had two normal spell slots, which it burned through. Guessing it will take a long rest as usual to recharge those. Stuff that recharges on a dice roll probably aren't impacted either. Spider?))

((Yeah, my question was more along the lines of "when do long rests happen" I guess.))
