(No hostiles currently, right? Sorry, been kinda out of it - Assuming they're all hiding that pool, though, Gris will also simply wait to ambush them when they come out...)

There is one struggling in Fred's constricting coils, but access is being blocked by mules.

The captured creature struggles to get free, to no avail, screaming in its crackling, croaking language and slapping the water with its tail.

Mule-asma's attack clanks weakly off the creatures armor.

Constrict Part II: 2D20.HIGH(1)+4 = [18, 1]+4 = 22

Fred desides to squeeze again...

((Constrict Part II...The Tightening!))

Edit forgot damage: The Tightening: 1D8+2 = [7]+2 = 9

Its croaks become even more pained, before something internal gives with a wet squish and it goes limp in your coils. The sword slips from its fingers to splash into the water, the hot water causing you to flinch a bit as a few drops hit you.

((Shall I presume that the ambushers are continuing to wait to ambush? Anything else that Gomz, Slem or Gris wish to be doing?))

(Are there other exits besides the one we came through in? In each case, Gris will just be on guard duty, for now. His snake brain is not very big and is just going to stay focused on one task, for now.)

This is a sort of off shoot from the main tunnel, the only other 'entrance' is the tunnel above where lava is flowing into the pool.

Gnomz hisses a bit when the sword drops in the water.
"Not good. Others will see. Others will hear! They will be ready for us."

((Spider hasn't ended combat turns yet, or at least hasn't said anything about it. Right now the only ones who can use a shield or sword are Gnomz or UnderSlem, though UnderSlem probably isn't the best choice for that. If everyone else is in agreement, Gnomz can start gathering stuff and dragging it to the door...Maybe pile it all on the body and drag the whole mess away from the pool to where Fred can maybe have a chance to digest and adapt to the latest set of bones? I'm guessing an hour to do that again. In that time we might be able to either ambush another red 'whatever' or scout the other passage. ))

(( Hold the line, guys! ))
Gnomz grabs the swords and shield, dumps them on the chest of the dead creature, and starts dragging them towards the entrance they came in through.

Fred releases their victim and backs out of the way, Gnomz darting and dropping the shield and sword on its chest and starting to drag it towards the entrance to the cave.

Slem keeps his fire-finger at the ready, and Gris sits ready to strike.

A reddish head emerges in the middle of the steaming pool.

((Slem can fire, out of range for any of the melee folks!))

Miasma waits near the edge of the pool, ready to strike at the creature.
