((I'll get that updated by the time you need those HP.))
The figures moving in front of the glowing bit are distant, maybe 300 feet down and out into the cavern. The path to the right will likely take you down there eventually.

Fred waves over the goblin boss (I'm not sure who is the goblin boss) and points down...<Can you make out what is moving down there?>
(I'm all for going down but at the moment I think I want to confirm my suspision that we've got nasty bats down there...)

Underslem moves over to some glowing slime/mold and rubs it with it's meat hand. Does it come off? If it does it covers it's pointy metal with it to be able to see with. Careful like, of course.

Despite having the best dark vision, Sluj can see nothing at all.

Pig Gomz apparently can't see or smell (maybe he has COVID?) and keeps stepping on whichever unfortunate is in front of him.

Re: Running the Monster Gauntlet: Escape (5e)
As a few bumble around nearly blindly, Underslem harvests a bit of glowy fungus. It's not very bright, but does give dim light enough that he could read by, as long as he was no more than a foot away from the bit he carries. It's of limited use in seeing much farther in front of him.

Underslem is, understandably, very pleased with it's glowing point metal piece.

((Is the consensus to give up on the dark place for now? You can always come back if end up with a team better suited to this environment. If that's the case, does someone want to roll a d12 for the next portal?))
