Unable to reach the antennae, Enoch swaps clay for rope and ties the rope around the clank's waist, lashing it tightly to the bars of the gate. Hopefully if they lift the gate again, the clankipede will go with it.

August and Charlie and Sam and Enoch and Gabe and Ziou and Ursula vs Clankipede

Enoch, switches to rope, and ducking behind Charlie, shimmies along the wall until he gets to the front of the clank. He goes to tie rope around it, but it swipes at him with the arms along its back. He only JUST manages to dodge out of the way of their grasp, thumping against the wall as he falls backwards.

Sam strikes at the arm holding Gabe up, and while he batters it about a bit, it doesn't seem to have done much harm.

The clankipede grasps the bars, and again tries to lift them off its body, but fails to budge them.

Hiero arrives on the scene, but isn't able to do anything just yet.

August throws the dart in front of the clank, and tries to attack it's antennae, staying out of its sight if possible.

Technically, as hard as you can would involve activating your Special Ability, which currently has a 55% chance to fail. Just checking before I roll on that.

Gabe struggles, and manages to get his leg free, but isn't able to break free of the grip on his arm.
((It decreases on 15 minute turns, not on combat rounds, so using it low risk is essentially a once per encounter ability, though you've a 45% chance of being able to use it again...))

Ziou grabs his chunk of rock salt, the rags, one of the bottles of liquid, and collects some water, ready to head back out next turn.

August tosses the dart at the clank, and slashes at it, but his blows don't dig deep.

Charlie jabs his spear at the base of the arm holding Gabe and it loosens its grip slightly, but still holds on.

*posting ahead cause I might be in holidays when it is my turn again*

Unless everybody already escaped the clanks:
Hiero tries to stab the clank with his weapon, channeling a charge of voltage through it, which hopefully might hurt the clank a lot more than the weapon itself.
If possible he will go for anything that looks like a processor or battery.

If all retreated already, he will help secure the retreat.

Enoch rushes away to get the metal net from the base of the bat-cave and drag it back to hopefully use to entangle the clankipede's feet.

Now that Gabe has his leg free, Sam helps to free his arm as well by darting forward and attacking the arm holding onto Gabe.
"This seems so hopeless." Sam wails, almost breaking down into tears as he attacks the clank relentlessly.

Sam sobs as his weapon clatters ineffectively across the clank.

The clankipede picks up the dart, testing it with its antennae.

"THREAT NEUTRALIZED"

A panel opens in its chest, a tube emerges and it places the dart at the opening, where it is whisked inside. It heaves up on the bars, and manages to scoot backwards slightly, letting them slam down into the holes in the floor.

Hiero darts forward and jabs with his blade, releasing his two stored charges into the clank. It shudders as the energy flows through it, and Gabe spasms and grunts through gritted teeth. [Gabe -2 HP to 8/10HP]

Gabe keeps pulling, attempting to free himself, using his free leg to brace himself while trying to avoid getting grabbed again.

Gabe heaves, and manages to slip from the grasp of the clutching clank arms, dropping to the tunnel floor.

Ziou reaches through the bars and wets and salts the clank. There are no visible effects other than that it is wet and salty.

Sam pivots quickly on his feet and moves after Charlie, helping him to carry Gabe if possible. He knows however, that the gate is closed and hopes that the clank doesn't turn its attention to them. "Someone open the gate so that we can get through." He calls ahead to anyone listening.

Seeing his attack did not only shock the clank, but also Gabe, Hiero now tries to jab at vital points of the clank like cogwheels, tubing and wires - if the clank keeps attacking. If not, he will not attack himself and allow it to retreat while protecting his comrades.

**Sorry it took me a month and a half for this anemic update.**
Sam shoves Charlie and Gabe back down the other hallway, just in time too, as the clank backs up, its end portion stomping past them until its head is flush with the hallway headed back down away from the fountain room. It heads that direction, the myriad of feet passing right next to them as it trundles along.
