Buy Squad Size Upgrade, please.
John smirks, happy about not even getting a scratch from the mission, even though he got shot once. These new armor suits are really something. On the flight home, he praises his team. "Excellent job everyone! Keep up the great work."

(Woot! First Captain!)
I vote buy squad size upgrade!
I think I shall take Opportunist, unless anyone thinks I should pick the other one?

Remind me again what method you use to take screenshots? I've familiarized myself with the game, and I have the Enemy Within expansion, as well as the Elite Soldier Pack and Slingshot DLC. The addition of MELD, gene modification, and MECs really changes gameplay! I do plan on playing with several of the extra options turned on and will play on Classic difficulty.

I play through steam, pressing F12 in steam will take a screenshot of the game. It is then stored in your Steam directory, the folders you need to navigate are as follows:-CroverusRaven wrote:Remind me again what method you use to take screenshots? All your f12'd in game screen shots should appear in that folder.
Hope that helps.

Squad size 6 is purchased. 6 operatives can now be fielded on any mission.
Research is completed on Heavy Lasers.
Heavy Lasers are now available for construction.
Laser Cannons (interceptor armament) are now available for construction.
New research must be assigned.

Build 1 heavy laser for our soldiers, 2 if we can afford it, and also at least 1 for the airplanes.
Vote on Chrysalid Autopsy, I think it will lead to a stronger armor.

I vote light plasma rifle for research, and agree that we should build 1-2 heavy lasers.

Research skeleton suit.
Build 1 heavy laser, if we can afford it.
About the air crafts... how many of them do we have got, anyways? One on each 'continent' or something? Sorry in advance, if this information already is available somewhere in this thread. At least it's not in the first post.

Interrogate Thin Man, since that lowers some research time. Build 2 Heavy Lasers and enough of the Ship ones to equip all of our planes.

We just put much time into laser technology. Plasma technology is basically the same, only slightly stronger. It would be like just throwing all we just invented away, cause once we researched plasma, we would not be using laser anymore, except for a few old weapon already build. I said this before we even started the first laser research. Maybe we should do the time-cheap researches now with the autopsies.madmartin26 wrote:I vote light plasma rifle for research, and agree that we should build 1-2 heavy lasers.

We've got 2 interceptors presently. One in Africa, one in North America. This is enough Interceptors to cover our entire active Satellite Network. (Interceptors are assigned to a continent, and they react to any Alien UFO activity in that continent.)GathersIngredients wrote:Research skeleton suit.

how many satellites are already being build/delivered right now? Enough to cover all critical countries at the end of the month? If not I would make satellites top priority if enough time is left for them to be delivered before the end of the month.

Vote we build 2 heavy lasers and 1 laser for the planes, equipping it to the interceptor in our country.
We need to do some of the autopsies, completing them will unlock other items and research items. Interrogations reduce the research time for different things.
Vote for Chrysalid autopsy.

we have 4 satellites in production, which we will be able to launch when we complete our satellite nexus (7 days)Nerre wrote:how many satellites are already being build/delivered right now? Re: Lets Play: X-com Enemy Unknown - Chapter 1 - Enemy Unkno
a single heavy laser is constructed. We unfortunately do not have the resources to construct more (short by 1 alloy)
Hilda and Nikolai both undergo additional training.
Research is started on the Chryssalid autopsy.
We finish construction of a single Satellite, unfortunately we cannot launch it until our Satellite nexus is finished.
Research on the Chyrssalid autopsy is finished too.
New research must be assigned.

Since this seems to be the general consensus: Interrogate Thin man.

Just realized that F12 on a Mac pulls up the widget screen... so I might need an alternative method of taking screen shots...vidius wrote:I play through steam, pressing F12 in steam will take a screenshot of the game. Research UFO Power Source.
Elerium Generators would be very useful, and we need to research this anyway to get access to the next level of Armour types. Skeleton Armour is nice, but only really for Snipers (for the height/positioning bonuses), while getting Titan Armour for everyone would be much better. Plus, IMO, Archangel Armour is even better for Snipers, since it provides even more mobility and positioning options.
Interrogate Thin Man.
Also, Dexter takes the training in Disabling Shots, so he can incapacitate foes without using lethal force.
