I still say its Chuck...the whole imagery of that last kill says Chuck...

ghost vote
1-Chuck (patdragon)

3-Loony (Chuck, Davecom3, Dlover)

Um, Quarg, not up-to-date.

5 - Loony (Chuck, Davecom3, Dlover, Synch, Badge)
2 - Chuck (Loony, Quarg)

ghost vote
2 - Chuck (patdragon,kida)
3 - Loony (gamecreator, theis2, Jib)

And, if the Killers don't know each other, I guess that explains why Chuck might not have switched and still be the Warrior.

looking at the new killer with the proper formatting added now. If you read only the italicized words you get:

Lets start at the very beginning, its a very good place to start

Well the first person on the list is Synch. So my guesses are Loony (and he pretty much admitted it now), davecom3 (Not entirely sure but I think he's the warrior), Synch (I'm pretty sure he's the new killer). Its a shame we can't lynch multiple people each round. Vote stays with loony since he's a sure bet.

Hold on. I know that Rule 1 is in effect, but it seems kida should have survived, since she was lynched in place of Loony before the lynch became a dummy lynch, which seems like it should have removed kida's head from the block as she was being lynched instead of Loony. Still, Rule 1, so never mind.

You mean that, since loony didn't actually get lynched, kida shouldn't have been either? that actually makes sense.

But, what happens when the DM...misses something? i mean, it could have been a simple accident on his part...just saying, sure, a DM is always right, unless he makes a mistake that he admits he made....

It's a shame, though. With kida alive, we'd have a better chance of winning, as we'd be 5 Civilians against 3 Killers, one of which we definitely know.

So..just my opinion here...instead of so many killers...why not henchmen instead, that way the game would last longer.

Lets be honest...that trowel did so many damn things that from now on this round should be remembered as the Trowel of Wonder episode. Also Kida was killed by...er hold on...Kida would still be dead this round but revive next round since it is the same effect I had last round right?

So then we go...

7
- Loony
+ 1 Kida
- 2 kills

5 (2 killers + 3 civiians)
-1 Killer
-1 Citizen
(1 killer - 2 citizens)

Eh...our odd would still suck.

Need to add the Holy Hand Grenade...

So then DM would be right if he decided that he was wrong. Because rule 1. Otherwise the second part of the rule would violate the first part.

Also it seems Chuck have missed entire page of posts.

None of this gets us any closer to figuring out who the killer is...other than the most obvious of course..

Your roll last round was 9, which is not the one that makes a Lynch a Dummy Lynch. She might be alive right now, rather than dead. Not that it would change much from your results. Her being alive would give us a chance to win even if the killers know each other and select different targets, and a better chance if the killers didn't know each other. Still, we have an extremely low chance of winning here.

You do realise the italicised sentence just refers to the beginning letter of each sentence right? Which as we know spells out BUNDLE OF LIMBS. Not the first on the signup list!

bundle of limbs doesn't seem to be reference anything and is too easily spotable without the italicization. If the italicization mattered that much then it shouldn't reference something we can already see. I think bundle of limbs might be a a means of throwing us off the scent.

Sorry guys, after this round I am done hosting because I am doing a terrible job of keeping it on time. If one of my fellow veterans would like to take over pm me, if not I will try to restart it once my life stabilizes a bit.

Poor loony survived one lynching, caused havoc and is dead again.

Kill of the Warrior
I take my sword from my thigh
Relief escapes my lips, a sigh
Who knew that rocks were killers from the sky?
Another one of you, tonight, must die

I spy with my little eye, something that starts with G
The thing appears somewhere in that picture with me
If you can figure it out, then you might get free
If only you would look at it and see

I wonder if the number of stanzas is a clue.
My enemies, across the galaxies, always get their due
Sword & Saber, gun or Phaser, my favorite color is blue
You better think fast, or the next victim will be you.

Victim: Chuck

A Catastrophic Kill

Facing out and listening to music, it's easy to forget yourself and lower your guard.
Often it's when those defenses are dropping that fate shows up and smacks you down hard.
One night of bliss you'll enjoy while you tarry away.
Listening, liking, forgetting today.
Slipping into a daze, having a good game, and dealing out poker, card for card.

Fate abounds on nights such as these.
On top of the deck laden with leisure and ease.
Look upon the utter joker, Quarg, my friend.
Like a joke, to each his end.
You have drawn your last card; you've cast out your pleas.

Victim: Quarg

1. Synch
2. gamecreator - Crushed
3. Loony - Lynched, was Joey
4. Bahamut - Crushed
5. Chuck - Catastrophically Killed
6. kida - Russianed
7. Alaen - Blown Up
8. Davecom3
9. Dlover
10. Jib - Crushed
11. asks - crushed
12. Theis53 - Crushed
13. Patdragon - Killed by the Warrior
14. Quarg - Killed by the Warrior
15. BadgeAddict
16. DoubleFried - Crushed

If Synch and Chuck put their ideas together, the Catastrophic Killer could have been found, yet not in time this game. Synch was right that it related to the beginning of the sentences, not the beginning of the list, obviously. That said, Chuck was also right that neither "BUNDLE OF LIMBS" nor "FOOLS FOLLY" require the italicized words to be spotted nor referenced anything. Still, the italicized words were a big hint if you avoided the thought that the capital letters were their ultimate goal. The phrase said "lets start at the very beginning its a very good place to start", so if you do just that, you start with the very first letters in said sentences. These weren't the goal, just the start.

But how do you know where to go from there? Well, if you know the letters of the English alphabet, you also know where they fall in that alphabet, A being 1st and Z being 26th. The number of each letter reveals which of the letters in each sentence was important when you started counting them out at the very beginning of each sentence.

Doing this, you reveal the letter chains "outcastkiller" and "goskabluey". "outcastkiller" draws your attention to previous rounds in the archive, "goskabluey" to the Goblins Minesweepers game, either which pointed straight at me.

And I'm going to guess BadgeAddict was the Warrior, though odd never told me. Dlover, I'd basically ruled out for the most part from the beginning. I'd started suspecting Badge with that second clue, which seemed to me to be pointing directly at his gnomish bard in the "The Festival Of Fools" thread.

Old game found on 4th page. That said, I think the clues were more focused around Calvin rather than anything else. Badge's gnomish bard was standing on a stool when I searched for the word "stool". Having not caught the fool, another word for bard, jester, and looking for a man on a stool, Badge's character was the one that fit.

Right, as Odd said, I'll be taking over as host. In order to keep the thread from getting to be too long and threatening to potential new players, the next round will start in a new thread. BUT, I'd like anyone playing to sign up here. I'll then start the new thread at the same time as the new round. For anyone who's curious, I'm going to look at making a new thread on the conclusion of whichever round reaches 10 pages. Seems like 10 would be the point that people are deterred from looking into things, so that should be the best point to make it as welcoming as possible.

So, the signup list can start now, as can any dummy kill submissions. Feel free to resubmit unused dummy kills you sent to Odd, though if he decides to sign up it's probably not the best idea.
