I hadn't thought of the possibility that Kore is under the effect of a curse. Curses usually aren't communal though so how about some form of entity based possession? Depending on the circumstances, there are some forms of possession that let you utilize the abilities and powers of the host. If the host is not deemed responsible for the actions taking place, it might not be stripped of your powers. Thus letting a puppeted paladin go on a remorseless cleansing that is in no way good.JustRight wrote:Just a thought - - if Forgath gets possessed by the Kore curse, the This Is A Helmet plaque - featured in this episode - might get attached to the Kore helmet or brought along somehow and might be the way his friends recognize him later on (and try to free him from the curse). Just another Checkov's rifle routine.

Maybe it's a misunderstood software feature instead of an actual curse? He just needs to reboot and close all his windows a few times, then reinstall Kore v1.2.

What we need is the operating manual and FAQ for Kore v1.2.

Re: They're All Evil Sep-17-14
I'm glad to see this updated.
Kind of have a feeling that we will see Minmax and the gobos and see them hearing lots and lots of screaming from behind the door and then "silence". That would leave a damned cliffhanger as for why Forgath stopped his hitting on Kore. Plus it would show us a emotional crushed Minmax who wasn't just separated from his love but also couldn't help his best friend and only heard him screaming while hammering onto a stone door with his bloodied fists.

Probably someone has already mentioned this... but what if Forgath looks under the helm of Kore.. and sees himself?!?!?

Or maybe it's his (female) player's face! I don't recall that particular guess yet.

Re: They're All Evil Sep-17-14
I must agree with some of the previous comments stating that the art was difficult to follow. A minor complaint was the motion idiom, which was already mentioned. Like the others I recommend ghosting decayed images of objects in motion just to prevent people from thinking there are three objects in the air when there is only one.
A bigger problem was simply that the action was difficult to follow here simply because the panels and the resulting field of view were too small. Because Forgath's elbows were cut off, it was difficult to tell that the hands in the frame were actually his and not Kore's, for example. In frame six I assumed Kore had pulled Forgath's beard, which made the next few panels confusing. A fewer number of larger panels, each including a bit more of the surrounding context would have helped greatly in this case. In a way this could even make it easier to draw, since as long as the view is not changing a larger background can be drawn and copied to another frame.
Of course, THunt is not into drawing backgrounds, but I think he has taken his focus on the action a bit to the extreme in this case.

Ok, I'm going to say something a little controversial here, and it might get me banned again, but I need to say it. Kore is kind of a butt.

Re: They're All Evil Sep-17-14
To start with - I'm so glad you've returned to working on Goblins, Thunt. I hope the tidal wave of "YAYYYYYY" didn't wash you away. Danielle, thank you for taking such good care of our favorite webcomic author!
While reading this thread, and Thunt's thread on what's under Kore's helmet, I got to thinking about the prophecy. And since I just re-read the current chapter from start (I'd remembered most of it - but lost some details) I found myself wondering if they might not have thrown all prophecies out the window when they climbed through the Oblivion hole. I know it's likely that they only managed to derail the psionic Minmax's ability to foresee their actions, but I want to cling to this tuft of grass with all my might. I don't want Forgath to die. Thunt has already killed Chief, and that was painful - but this would REALLY hurt.
I've tried to guess what's under Kore' helmet, and I'm just going to wait for the next comic, because all the possibilities that have been tossed out there are either really good or really god-awful, and I can't settle on a good guess. Thunt has a WAY better imagination than I've got - so I'm just going to let him surprise me.
Edited for size - sorry - my eyes have trouble with the regular size text. Penalties of age...
