Let's look at interest before I jump right into this thing. I haven't talked to Thinks yet about working out kinks and adapting my ideas to the general consensus, so. We're looking at a week or two before the Pit is open.

Edited to add, I may hold off. Thinks tells me a few plots and plans are currently moving along and I don't want to divert attention unless there's room for 3 quests going on at once or something.

Hey aegis: GAL 7 & 8 are using up almost all our players at the moment, so I think you'll need to wait for one of them to finish before you can start your quest. If you could send me a PM with an outline of the storyline, how many players you'll be looking for, the style of the game and how long (roughly) you think it'll last (no. turns & time). I'll also need to know roughly what loot you're planning on giving out so we can make sure the stuff you're giving out is balanced within the rest of the GAL.

We also run recruitment for GAL quests via the GAL HQ itself rather than here usually (I run a wee storyline to kickstart each quest and keep the HQ alive), but as long as we can link between the two threads it doesn't really matter where people actually sign up.

GAL 8 hasn't made any progress on the main quest objective yet! (I'm assuming you mean GAL 7. )

I'm apparently not good at making "short" quests, as we are 73 turns in and looking like we'll be here for a good long while yet.

In my defense, there was an option to go left like the guy told them, or go right like he told them not to. They are a suspicious lot, so went right, essentially doing the sequel/side quest first.

lol, I've noticed everyone on this forum seems to do the exact opposite of whatever their told. And as suspicious as he was acting did your really expect anyone to choose that exact moment to start following directions. Hmmm... No one send me money.

Also, I no there are a few of us in the Queue to GM, Aegis, Badge and Pat with follow up quests, myself, possibly more. I wonder if there is an order?

Aegis has been first on my list for months now, followed by Nerre (but he's dropped out). I wasn't aware that you guys were queuing to GM (if you told me I've forgotten, sorry), but was going to make a list on the GAL HQ front anyway. Chuck, I assume you're interested since you've brought it up so I'll add you to the pile next and I'll give Badge and Pat a shout and see if they're still keen. I think Badge was taking some time out of GMing in here for a bit while things settled down for him IRL, but maybe that's happened by now! I've been a lax HQ hostess!

I would very much like to make another quest...But...I'm still trying to think up a good one and/or find the time to finish up the maps..which is something I have not done yet...

but, As I'm all about the players, it really depends on what they would want to actually play...

There is the next quest in the Star-Lord series...after those people from that one village got captured...
The dragon could probably find a quest for you personally..
There was that strange angel fellow who might have a quest, if you knew how to find him..
etc

I stopped for a bit for a few different reasons, 1. I've been changing jobs lately. 2. I've been holding back so that others have had a chance to make games (as I've made 3)

I am pretty sure that the main quest is going to be anticlimactic after their side quest in GAL 8...


There is a very real possibility that I may have to put my GMing on hold, or at least decrease update frequency (or speed GAL 8 up to finish), as I'm in the midst of dissertation writing, and would much rather run games than look at stats at the moment...

So as far as future GAL quests, I will be interested at some point, but not in the near future (especially since GAL 8 could go on a while yet).

I'll certainly be reading Hyena's quest, but don't think I'll be throwing my hat in the ring to take part.
