Klik Species
Subspecies:
- Creatures Archetype: these Kliks are born from animals, humanoids and magical beasts. If we were to place their parents in the real world, it would be in the Regnum Animalia. They acquire traits of the creatures "birthing" them, so they can inherit magic features from the fathers.
- Constructs Archetype: these Kliks are birthed by sentient, semi-sentient and non-sentient (but nontheless alive) constructs. Aside from the various magic features they could inherit, they also could get some mechanical features.
- Non-sentient Organisms Archetype: every other non-sentient organism (Regnum Plantae, Regnum Fungi, Regnum Protista...maybe also Regni Archea and Bacteria?). Same goes for this type as the other, they get some of their parent traits.
All the varieties are divided in subvarieties.
- Alchemical Elements: fire, water, air, earth (subvarieties)...but also lightning, light, smoke, etc. These are mostly from the Constructs and Creatures Archetypes, but can be found also amongst the Non-sentient Organisms Archetype.
- Organic: wood, flesh, blood, fungi, etc. Almost all derived from Creatures Archetype and Non-sentient Organisms Archetype, but there are a few from Constructs Archetype (as sometimes constructs are made of organic materials).
- Chemical Elements: iron, lead, uranium, etc. These are mostly from the Constructs Archetype Subspecies, but can be found in a lesser number also in the Creatures Archetype and Non-sentient Organisms Archetype.
- Magical: made up from pure magical energy or materials embued with it (as would a Klik born from the Axe of Prissan, which is, having a demon inside of it, technically alive; another example would be a Klik born from an ethereal life-form). These Kliks are in large number from the Constructs Archetype and Creatures Archetype. It's difficult to find Kliks of this Variety from the Non-sentient Organisms Archetype Subspecies.
The varieties can be elaborated further or intersected among themselves, creating forms. I'll list just the more relevants to the thread.
- Mechanical: this is the only formnot to mix multiple other varieties (or just use one, rearranged in a more complex system), but it's not enough to be a variety itself (although also the varieties Organic and Magical are mostly made from chemical elements and sometimes alchemical ones, they are evolutions with more complexity, whereas in the Mechanical Suvariety those materials are grossly rearranged, not at a molecular level; its parts can be seen at naked eye, if not hidden inside the body). Every Constructs Archetype Subspecies is from this form. If a Klik is birthed from an Iron Golem, then it's a Klik (species), Constructs Archetype (subspecies), Chemical Elements (variety),Iron (subvariety), Mechanical (form). If the golem is made from stone and wood (for example), it's all the same ad said above except for one or more form added and used as a (subform): Klik (species), Constructs Archetype (subspecies), Chemical Elements (variety), Mechanical (form), Chemical/Organic (subform).
- Chemical/Organic: in some way, it's a mixture between a chemical element and an organic part, as Dies Horribly's Klik, who is made of some metal (I don't think the color matters that much, as it only reflects the host's IME) and Dies' blood. It also could include Kliks made from spiderwebs or other organic-derived materials (I know a Klik can't be birthed by something which is not alive, but there could be creatures made from webs, for example a Web Golem).
- Chemical/Chemical: two different elements mixed together, can give the Klik an appearance of a giant molecule (without losing its Klik form), like the giant Klik with two arms of different colours.
Ps: I wrote this as a distraction, I'm not a biologist nor I'm adept with Thunt's continuity, so there are probably a lot of errors and stupidities.
