Sure, I just wouldn't choose hot as a way to describe Idle :P

Well, yeah, look how few clothes she's wearing. It must be really warm out there.

Hee. I'm just being facetious.

I don't really get the whole "omg hot" thing re: drawings either, but I can appreciate beauty and things that are drawn to suggest beauty. Personally I think she's drawn quite childlike, but that's possibly an element of us not knowing what species she is yet.

To me, Fox is drawn as what I would say was traditionally goblin-feminine and goblin-beautiful, and Kin has sort of girl-next-door humanoid face and upper half, and there's always Yodette as an example of a standard if slightly over-endowed female human... We've seen the occasional elf girl and we've seen Tryst the purposefully silly drow bimbo and so on and so forth.

Idle doesn't quite fit any of those species types. But even if she did, in my humble opinion, she isn't drawn hot. She's drawn cute. I think there's a difference.

Cute seems to be a much better word, but then we have hormone raging teens reading Thunt's comic.

Some do. This is the internet - you can put up a picture of just about anything and someone will think it's hot.

Huh...turns out the green skin fetish isn't limited to Star Trek (though actually linking examples would be a terrible idea).

Character I did a few years back:

I thought she came out cute. :)

edit: Picture I did of a friend's character, even longer ago:

IMHO Idle's "hotness" is more personality based in that she seems to be quite friendly, witty, and fun. At first glance she seemed weird-looking but after getting to know her for a few installments she's adorable now. Most of us just aren't going to bother explaining how someone has desirable personality traits and simply refer to such a person as hot.

"Hot" may be too strong an adjective, but she is attractive in the whole package.
Not too conscious about clothing, humourous, in for fun, quick thinking...
And in for adventure...

@SpiderWrangler: heh... and ouch?
But she is a bunny!

The curse got more annoying from what happened, that justified it happening. Whether or not the klik could be killed: on one hand it'd means they'd have to drag around a dead klik (or run after a cloud of dust and than suffer the consequences of breaking the curse), on the other hand they could leave that place and it would stop talking, so my money is on "not going to happen".

What's less clear is whether the goblins have players and a DM, and whether it's Herbert, and if it's not Herbert, how she/he relates to Herbert.
I think it's some weird "don't think about it too hard" hybrid. There are player characters and a DM, but the world they play in has sort of come alive on its own terms. Monsters can have their own adventures and even choose to become player characters, start playing by those rules. They're also aware of the rules that govern the universe, and they can fail their dice rolls, even though no dice are involved.

I think it's more like Herbert is running a game in a "live" universe. He's dropping characters in a land where things are going on everywhere else, like in the real world. It's just that the live universe they're in uses D&D rules to run if they want to be adventurers.

Wolfie, those are nice pictures. Did you do those in one of the off the shelf programs available or did you draw them from the ground up?

You mean mine? I used Poser and Photoshop. But the girl character is one of mine that I made the skin for in Photoshop and then applied it to a model from DAZ3D (like my avatar, except I rendered that in Vue). My friend Gill did the skin for the guy; I just rendered him.

Okay, so this is the first time that the whole species is being called klik?
I like the idea of the world having come to live and I wonder if we are going to see Herbert in it.
I suspect that if Herbert does appear it will be short and ironic.

If Idle and Bowst do happen to be Yodette and Baka (I think it would fit the pattern with Baka being his dumb character breaking self and Yodette liking to be a female but slowly gaining some logic. Last time she wouldn't fall for tropes and lamented being a trope vulnerable bimbo.), then I wonder what name the hobbit had....before he died because he has always been good in dying.
"Noe" has been done, but there is also "Ferry" and "Anne" and...

I'd be pretty impressive if those guys managed to get to level 3 this fast. And the "female" player made some progress in role playing. Still possible though I suppose.

P.S. alternative title for this thread: "Make it stop, two the love of God!" (or Herbert, or, well, womething...)

I think they're more likely Baka and Tuck. They would have had plenty of time to go through a beginner dungeon and get to level 3. Maybe the people who are keeping the timelines can figure out the relative placements of the Junior/Dies/Saves and FMK storylines and tell me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure Yodette is dead. Yeah, it was strongly implied. If this were a TV series, I'd 100% sure they were leaving it open just in case they wanted to bring Yodette back. As I know Thunt planned the storyline in advance, it is not open, at least not to him.
