Goblins Gaming (Non-Forum Games)
I realize that we have a collection of people here from all over the world. But, much like the enormous fun we had in LAYFs Goblins version of MineCraft, I wonder if anyone is interested in creating an online community of Gaming Friends.
I don't have many games yet:
Destiny
Dying Light
Master Chief Collection
AC Unity
but, I can always but more...and I find that gaming with other people is far more fun than gaming alone.
To those of you who apparently hate my guts...I'm sorry...and I'm really not an asshole in RL...ask Spider or Aegis, who have both met me...briefly

Re: Xbox One Gaming
We technically have a stickied thread in forum games for playing outside the forum. But I don't have an xbox. I'm a stickler for the playstation and pc

Re: Xbox One Gaming
PC could work too...Would love to find a someone who enjoys a steam game of CIV V or something like that....but not BloodBowl or one those.. I personally don't find them overly fun..I'm more for RPGs, FPS and such...

Re: Xbox One Gaming
Sorry, only got PS3 and a lot of PC games, many of them using Steam.
I got Civ 5 too, as Badge mentioned it. But no addons.
I liked the minecraft gobling town a lot.

Wife and I are currently playing Neverwinter Online, it's a free MMO much in the same vein as World of Warcraft, set in the Forgotten Realms. I play it through Steam.

I haven't been playing video games much recently. Currently I'm boycotting XBox one simply because of how many issues there were with the 360. But if you guys want to find me elsewhere...
I'm on PSN and Kongregate under the same name. I use ChuckDaRighteous pretty much everywhere.

I've played civ 5 with M0rt a couple of times, but a large scale civ game could be cool (but hard to plan)

A Goblins Civ V game... would be Epic
and probably take a couple days...or a whole weekend
edit: Though, I would wonder how that is supposed to work...as far as connecting with various people across the interwebs..

Re: Goblins Gaming (Non-Forum Games)
I've played Civ across the net with local people before (like, my friends from the same town who wanted to play a computer game not a boardgame for a change) and it worked OK. I don't know about timezones and stuff. I think you'd have to dedicate a couple of hours to it at a time, like on a Saturday lunchtime/evening (depending on where you were) and play it over several weeks, maybe even months. You wouldn't be able to get so many people from so many disparate timezones to play for "a whole weekend" or even "a day" because it'd be 4am for one guy and 2pm for another :s
Also I'd play but I only have Civs I thru IV, not V. Sorry chaps.

As someone from the "Mericah's"...I'd be willing to stay up till our friends on the opposite side of the worlds "Day-time" to make something like this work.

Re: Goblins Gaming (Non-Forum Games)
Is there maybe some kind of turn based variant of a CIV multiplayer? Then timezones would not be that different, it would only make the game longer. But we could arrange ourselves so the player circle goes by who goes to bed first.
Asia => Europe => US => Asia...
Depending on where you are in "Mericah" you should be like 6-9 hours off to Europe.

Re: Goblins Gaming (Non-Forum Games)
I'll look into that, not a bad idea.
A turn doesn't actually take that long typically to perform. I typically could take a turn anywhere between 7:00am to 10:00pm EST (That's a 13 hour window and It could expand to 15 hours, cause I tend to stay up till at least midnight on the weekends.)
All of this talk about gaming, kinda makes me wish that there was a Goblins Clan in the "Kingdom of Loathing" game. I used to play long ago...but I fell out of it after gambling all of my money away.

Re: Goblins Gaming (Non-Forum Games)
Hmm, Just saw civ IV and civ V complete edition is on sale on humblebundle store under the 2K sale costing 10 usd for Civ V and 5 usd for Civ IV the offer expires in 19 hours though
They also have crusader kings 2 on the bundle if you pay more than average
I likely won't get time to play within the next month and a half due to exams and finishing of my bachelor project.

Re: Goblins Gaming (Non-Forum Games)
I would love to setup this Civ Game at some point, perhaps once we get more into "summer"..
Another question though...not that anyone really answered...does anyone else have an Xbox One? Would love to hang out playing whatever...regardless of what time I would need to be awake to do it...Planning on getting the Elder Scrolls Online here in a bit and would be cool to have some Goblins to run around with.

Aye! They had a 24 hour countdown and everything! Didn't say what the countdown was for, but it was pretty obvious.
