@BC: There are two interpretations I see here. One is that this exception doesn't make sense because an allergy wouldn't make one either, as you say. But the other is his friend genuinely thought he was allergic, and was/is a victim of the nocebo effect - an imagined disorder causing real effects. RP'ed abilities aren't a physical disorder like allergies - they're dependent on the player's and the player's character's mindset. Just as his friend didn't notice the allergen so didn't react, Minmax could have just not noticed that what he was saying rhymed, and just thought it sounded really good without realising why - much like how we can enjoy a good film without knowing why or being able to reproduce it.
