I don't get it. How did they all just saunter past the Red demon to leave it alone with Fumbles? Also, did the Green Demon just disappear? Because they would have had to attack it first as well to get to the Yellow and Black one... For Minmax, does the "Clunnk" indicate that his sword is blunt and/or can't do any damage to the Purple Demon? Am I just looking at this wrong?

I don't get the transition from panel 3 and 4, Apparently Names landed headfirst (ow) in the water but then is suddenly standing in a pose? And why is Names distracted while in battle?

I have a feeling that many details of this battle will be bewildering, to both the characters and the readers, until we learn the one basic premise that explains everything.

Until we get to that point -- when All Will Be Revealed -- the next few pages are going to be a fertile ground for speculation. Gather clues, goblinites! Sustain the grand tradition of this forum. Who can come the closest to the true explanation? Have fun! Note each tiny oddity! And the big ones, too! Form theories, then more theories!

After a few battles he could go to hell and come back unscratched, even when throwing all dices a "1"

Really? I saw it as he tucked into a roll. Similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYYce-c5QlA But as a recovery from the jump which he did to mask Thaco's jumping attack following through behind him, basically working as a team to keep the enemies off balance.

Regarding the sword I wonder if it gets a +1 "charge" every turn he doesn't land an attack, then expends them all if he gets a hit, then starting at 0 builds up "charges" again as he fights +1, +2, etc. Essentially increasing his ability to strike an opponent the longer a fight goes on against a tougher enemy.

There is a Pathfinder weapon trait that does this. It's called Furyborn.

That sounds like a pretty great weapon.

Especially on a character with lots of attacks each round against one tough enemy. Choosing to forgo AoO to preserve the bonus would be an interesting decision that isn't usually necessary to make.
