Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
I was just thinking we could all chip in to buy him a mirror or do one of those genetic testing / ancestry kits on him (with magic obviously!) It'd be a great gift

I won't be very likely to persuade him he's a dwarf... -2 on Persuasion checks. But might be able to tell if he knows he's actually a dwarf.
The catfolk cursing makes me wonder, if you're fluent in X languages, how many languages can you reasonably know curse words in? Imarial may be able to curse in every language.

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
He is in great denial, he will never admit he is a dwarf, in his mind he isnt, he is just a shorter human. he is in an exctencial crisis over the whole ordeal.
He does not know what he is, and doesnt understand how he can understand dwarven as he is human. he was raised human so in his mind he is, surpressing any and all memories that he isn't. he shaves his bears 3 times a day, and blames his short legs on crappy luck
if you keep calling him dwarf, he will loose it and go on a killing spree, he has not come to terms with his orgins at all, and is verry sensitive about it.
he will loose obviously as you outnumber him, but he might just take one or two with you.
and i do enjoy playing a jerk, it's quit fun =)

That is not acceptable Ask... I can accept he os aggravated and racist, but you should not play him so offensive as to ruin the party and or game, one of the premises was that the character could get along with others!

Imarial will not have him joining the escort trip if he reduces the chances of it succeeding and seeing his research... I mean... the lord, safely to the City of Wind.
Of course the Lord and research is already missing, but he doesn't know that yet.

And that is acceptable if Imarial feels this way
Ask, please reconsider how you play the character from now on. since we are only going to have few sessions, such outburst will risk ending up destroying any actual gamelan.
On another note.
I'll let Quarg describe the result of his failed Deception based on the fact that this is a before game.

He knows Thedor is shading the truth...which is exactly what he is doing. Not giving a tale out of the thin air of his imagination.LAYF wrote:And that is acceptable if Imarial feels this way

Asks I would suggest the a "you people are just naturally lazy and stupid" bigot rather than 'If I kill all you XXXXX the world would be a better place' racist.

Well he's smart enough to know he's not good at lying, so he just shades the truth as it is easier to deceive that way...LAYF wrote:That seems fine from the amount of information he has to decipher
Which is why I feel I didn't waste that +1 to keep him from being a Pala-dumb...

Re: The rolling mountains twenty treasures (ooc)
Well, sort of. "Rust" typically refers to iron oxide. Copper oxidises, but the oxide is called verdigris. It's what makes the roofs of fancy old buildings go that pale green colour - those roofs are made of copper and "rust" to verdigris.

Patina is a more general term often used to refer to oxidized copper.

Rust is, technically, limited to iron...
Corrosion is the appropriate word but I think it's funnier if Bob is trying to gamble on a fake coin more than just an old one...
