All right, so Holger picked up a staff, a horn, a bunch of gold and gems (in addition to the weird ring) and zephyr grabbed the scimitar and spear. Plus we have two boxes we can't open.

Can I make a request that we id these in game and then at least chat ooc how to distribute them appropriately amongst the party? There's no point not using magic items if we're about to head into a fight.

Maji wants his single use items to be ided as well. Maji didn't really help much with the pyramid due to the accidental seperation, so maybe he doesn't deserve much...

So far, the only item that evens sounds likely for Randy would be the sword, and that may be an iffy item. The others would need to be identified first. Staff sounds sort of wizard/monk/clericy on first glance and Randy has his whack-a-mole stick (the halberd). Horn? Who knows what that is?. Rings are generally wizard type stuff anyway (Although I guess any spell caster class may be able to use a ring of spell storing) and Holger has already claimed it. Gold is good. Gold is always good. Just...very heavy to lug around in the middle of a desert. Spear is more in line with Zephyr. Randy could use it, but it's not his style and he's got a pretty decent ranged weapon anyway, so she won't get any argument from Randy about it. (Maybe an admonition to be more careful with her toys.... Randy did give her the javelin after all. :P ).

Plus the spear is versatile, so I could use it two-handed for more damage.

I honestly probably don't want to blade because it's less damage then the one I have.

A lot of the party does not have magical weapons yet, and we are getting to the point that we might need magic to harm certain enemies, so we should spread them among the party a bit.

Did Coljin get enough sleep that he it counts as a long rest and he gets his turning attempt back?

Not enough for a long rest, but you get it back after a short, so sure, you have it.

"When you use your Channel Divinity, you choose which effect to create. You must then finish a short or Long Rest to use your Channel Divinity again."

Going to wait with posting an action till I see what came of the turning attempt. I also think the hp tracker is up to date? I haven't done anything to it though.

Can't see it from here, but I believe Randy was still down 4 hp at the last. Biggest deal is his spell list is completely dry until he gets a full night's rest.
Spider, did you post the abilities of the spear and sword somewhere? I don't think I've seen it yet.

There was lots of talk around them being identified, but I'm not sure they ever were? Let me know if I'm mistaken...

I don't think so. We probably have a reasonable idea of what they do given that we fought off simulations of th in the poison/heart room, but I dont know if it was done properly.

Z attuned to the spear tho, so maybe she knows what that does?

Timeline:
The party of 3 that went investigating came back and Ulmwin had a go at the cases.
After that, he was willing to identify the spear and sword prior to sleepy time.
*Once spear is identified, assuming no nasty curses, zephyr attunes to the spear.
**If the blade was super awesome, she might be greedy enough to keep it too, otherwise she would give it to someone else who uses swords, tell them what it does and suggest they attune to it.

Sometime around morning - all hell breaks loose.

Sounds about right. I figure that Holger just bought himself a lecture about how treasure in mummies tombs tends to be of the cursed variety and that it's important to fully inform the rest of the party of anything taken so they can be watching for...'adverse reactions'. That being said, Zephyr is going to be watched like a hawk for a while since she's claiming one of the weapons. Same for whoever claims (or carries) the sword. So far, the big ruby hasn't caused any trouble that we're aware of.

Again though, per timelines, identify, then attune.

Servants that we need to hire for on the road:

1+ cart watcher(s). To keep care of the animals, potentially guard them in case of attack.
1 low level wizard. Only needs to know message to be able to alert us, maybe identify. (Alternatively, prepare scrolls instead.)
1 paper boy. His sole role will be to join us in battle, and swat Maji on the nose with a newspaper if he's misbehaving. Because this is often necessary, but we can't spare the actions to do it ourselves. I'd be looking to hire a gnome for this, ideally.

Then there is the problem of Maji's snoot being out of reach for a gnome... but if your gnome boy is also your low level wizard, he can mage hand the newspaper...

Well, I want him to be a gnome so he can obviously just ride on top of Maji's head, of course.

For whatever it's worth, Nem feels much the same about points 1-3, except she thinks he's been weird for a fair bit longer than just today.

Someones got some explaining to do sooner or later...

Randy was asleep when the whole mess started, so he probably didn't catch Holger's speech, but he's going to have some pointed questions about how the heck Holger opened the boxes to begin with and why is he doing it when everyone else is asleep? If nothing else, it's considered good form to give the party members a running head start if you unleash a demon.... :P

Doing a little cogitating about when to dou class Randy. Question: What are the limits of what a shadow monk can carry with him when shadow walking? Is it only inanimate, or could they carry a living thing with them? Just curious about the limits of that ability. ((Innocent whistling.))

At 6th level, you gain the ability to step from one shadow into another. When you are in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feel to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness. You then have advantage on the first melee attack you make before the end of the turn.
It's not stated in the wording that you can take anyone else with you as you teleport, so I would assume it's for personal use only. For comparison, here's a bunch of other ways teleportation options are worded:

Misty Step (L2): https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Mis ... ep#content
Thunder Step (L3): http://engl393-dnd5th.wikia.com/wiki/Thunder_Step
Dimension Door (L4): https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Dim ... or#content
Teleport (L7): https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Teleport#content

Other teleportation options are rather less relevant here (e.g. https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions ... -in-dnd-5e)

Hmmm....
Still plenty of room for mischief, particularly with 60 ft. range. Figured it was line of sight. Although it does just say "that you can see". Would that include a shadow in range viewed through a scrying spell of some sort? That could be a neat way in and out of a locked room for example.
